Jaw? i didn´t realize. Yes, i can see that the eyes are more defined now and her nose is thinner. But sometimes it looks too thin if you see it from other angles. She looks so beautiful, i´m legit on love with her, but she didn´t need any of that. I guess it´s really hard to be on this business, you end up thinking you need some work too. And yes, her cute fluffy cheeks are gone.

Do you guys wonder, if BoA was so natural when she debuted, why SNSD had so much work done? When did this obsession with perfection started? And not to mention Aespa girls. Karina´s jaw freaks me out, Winter had a completely new face, Giselle´s features were enhanced and Ning Ning looks great but not like herself. She used to look like the innocent type and now she looks more on the sexier side. They all had too much done at such a young age.

But they get it and for yoongi it was during run era when I realized he gets (started) getting lip injections. Yoongis lips aren't really big. His top lip is on the thinner side and his bottom lip isn't big either but then during run era his lips completely changed. His lips got so much wider and poutier and the shape changed into a totally different one. And then from there small changes would happen sometimes. But, since run, the changes have been usually subtle and small. Nothing too big or over the top for the most part

The first picture is the picture that made me realize he got lip injections, second and third his lips are equal in thickness and his lips aren't wide anymore, fourth and fifth his lips get wider again and thicker and kind of like run era but not as extreme, sixth his bottom lip is a lot bigger than his top lip (and even though his bottom is naturally bigger than his top lip it isn't that big), and last two his top lip is way bigger than his bottom lip

For taehyung, his lips were nice but were a little small for his face (in length). I don't know when he started doing stuff but I think run is the time his lips were still the same (but there are moments now where his mouth goes back to being shorter in length but does continues being plump and equal in thickness) and then his lips started changing and small differences would happen but it wasn't very obvious and it was always really well done and nice

His lips got wider and started being a lot more plump and equal in thickness. And in the gif and blonde pic below it you can see his top lip is bigger than his bottom lip and in the last picture his lip looks shorter again but still more plump and equal than before. Its never anything really obvious and was done gradually but if you pay attention you can definitely tell his lips changed

 

I also think jungkook has started getting lip injections

The first three photos are before pictures and if you look at his top lip you can see the sides/corners of his mouth go in a little and aren't filled out but in the next photos, they're filled out and don't go in/are visible. The last two photos also show that (bottom is before). His bottom lip also seems to be a little more plumper

 

These are some selfies he took where his bottom lip looks so much plumper and the middle of his top lip looks really pouty/bloated but I don't know if he edits his selfies though so .. 

So yeah bts members do stuff to their lips 

Is it even possible to widen mouth temporarily? From what I've seen it seems to be a pernament procedure. I'm not saying no to the possibility of fillers (Keira Knightley had a great subtle one done) but it's difficult to say because a lot of your photos are from different angles, some with their lips pursed and some with their bottom lip jutting.

I don't think his lips have changed tbh.

i think her surgeries look great if she's styled properly. sometimes it looks a little unnatural if the makeup and hair is off but when she looks good, she looks REALLY good

Yeah I don't 100% believe she was meant to be jennie part 2 but a couple pages back people were talking about them and saying if sm was trying to make them a better sm version of blackpink so thats why I said it. Yeah, when she looks good she looks unbelievable good. Shes pretty

You can. Lip fillers aren't just to make your lips plumper you can get them to widen your mouth, make your lips smooth if you have like lines/wrinkles (can't think of a better word) you can do a few things with it. The permanent one is the corner cutting where they cut your corners to make them go up and give you a smile look. But that one doesn't do anything to your lips to make them plumper just give you the lifted effect. I do think nowadays taehyung seems to only be getting fillers to make his lips plumper and more equal and not to widen it as much anymore. But that was a thing he did. If you look at old photos of him you can see at a point in time his lips started getting wider and a little different. I wanted to include more pictures but honestly I was getting tired and still had to do jungkook

Honestly I think nowadays visuals are more important than talent to a lot of these companies..

I hope you guys can slow down with your "assumptions" of PS on idols, specially the young ones because as I read thru this thread you guys seem to forget one factor which causes change in one's appearance.... ADOLESCENCE. Some idols you mentioned here debuted on their adolescent stage, so eventually their appearance wil somehow change, I'm not dismissing that they got PS but you guys should also consider their age.

yea cuz like for those under 18, i don't think it's legal for companies to do any cosmetic procedures on them without parental consent especially for those who debut so early too, i don't they can actually do any major PS without long recovery times. i do think tho that a lot of them get small things done like temporary fillers and shots like for the nose bridge and chin.

This is ningning predebut. She looked more like jennie back then,  than she does now. I think she naturally had cat eyes but she made her eyes bigger,  which wasn't necessary. 

So I don't think they were trying to make her look like jennie. If anything, it took the jennie look away from her (compared to before) and added a little minnie and joy vibe to her.

I'm pretty sure when she debuted she was fully natural. Didnt she debut at 13? That's both very young, not to mention her features at that time always appears natural to me. 

Also yeah out of surgeries her nose is first when I think of unneeded, jaw is second. Honestly I'm glad as an avid BoA fan you didn't notice jaw, as it still appears very natural. 

For SNSD, I remember alot from them honestly. Like for example Yoona, despite having reputation as one of the best visuals of Korea, did get discussions about her jaw before her surgery. I think SM aimed to debut fairly natural members (minus few) so they can match the concept. But public's requirement of beauty was too much, you can see this with Yuri for example. She yoyoed her whole career, her body was praised, but she would starve herself to get to that point, and the second promos ended she would gain rapid weight. Girlies as a whole had quite a big pressure as being It group of Korea.

They overly rely on fillers rather than full surgery to my knowledge. Which is bad in longterm but oh well, rip. They can cause skin to sag at places, so I hope they wont go overboard.

His nostrils moved. I suspect nose tip reduction. Do you have any unedited current Vs highschool~middleschool pic? Childhood pics are not the most reliable as Korean celebrities aim to look like how they were at childhood to start with. Since baby face is the popular one.

people get surgery from super young ages. it happens in the west,  it also happens in korea. puberty is not gonna give you a new nose. double eyelids can develop but you're not gonna get a high, defined crease from puberty either.

I think it might be makeup both face and on the eyes. Her makeup looks very "bright" especially towards the middle of the face. I think her eye makeup is usually different. To me it looks nice, I think Chuu got the same effect for this performance for which  she's gone rather viral so I think it's their makeup. It's all either a different look or someone else did their makeup than usual. Also all the girls have lost a bit of weight this comeback and they're all pretty lean right now, her face could be slimmer and Olivia as we know usually has signature full og Irene cheeks.

Speaking of, any idols that yall can tell actually developed double eyelids naturally? Bonus points if it happens during their career, like Kim Yuna's (?) 

I get them when I'm tired and the difference is HUGE. My eyes look so much bigger and rounder lol, I think they'll develop naturally in a few years for me I can't wait

Androgynous idols have always been controversial but great crowd pullers for Kpop and even Jpop/Cantopop/Mandopop(even GWSN's most popular member GPwise is Miya who is tomboyish lol) so I kinda wonder how it would play if they debuted Someone of that category who looks like Jaejoong(since he's one of the most well-regarded and universally popular visuals ) lol.

Though -I think Hyuna and Jimin of AOA has been noted for resembling Jaejoong to some degree and they both are rappers which is traditionally seen as a masculine domain though they both dress in a feminine manner even though they're not really regarded as traditionally feminine but still I don't think they're really androgynous as well.

Amber is thought to look like Jonghyun Donghae and Jeno but she's regarded as the ugliest member of that quadruplet so I want to test out how a Female Jaejoong lookalike would work out lol. I would also ideally want such an idol to be in a more vocal oriented role since most of the androgynous idols are shafted to rap/dance-roles.

The only "androgynous" idols I know who had a more vocal oriented roles were Sunny and Jeongyeon (though for Sunny short hair/androgynous look was more of a temporary styling decision) and they were also shafted in terms of vocal contributions .(Sunny is my OG SNSD bias for her vocal colour lol yet she hasn't got chance to be a solo musical artists and she has mentioned how she was made to be insecure about her singing capabilities so I just feel sad for her. A sunny musical solo debut will be the solo debut I will forever wait for in Kpop).

I know quite a number of male Japanese celebs knetz find gorgeous honestly, they are called beautiful rather than handsome, so if a company does debut an idol like that, he would be popular. But I guess such type is rare on SK? Because I cannot remember any male idol that androgynously beautiful minus Jeonghan and Ren. Japanese celebs knetz find pretty are tho; Jin Akanishi, Chiba Yudai, Yamazaki Kento and Sota Fukushi.

Otherwise I find Tori Matsuzaka gorgeous

 

these people would all do amazing at Korea but like i said I dont think Korea really has this type alot??? At least for males?? which is interesting 

 

for ggs, there is alot of examples already, but i always felt like despite everything they pulled less crowd than a male androgonous beauty. Which is interesting, but I do think if SM wants they can find a female Jaejoong lookalike, but I dont think they want that because from what i see they choose to not have any androgynous idols for any of their recent groups (male or female). I guess they dont magnet to crowd like at the past. I dont see Jaejoong at all at Hyuna and Jimin tbh, even when Jaejoong got older, he is still kind of prettier than both rip

Hoshi gets double eyelids whenever he is tired, but i couldnt think of any other example rip

otherwise from what i saw, i did notice idols that got more noticeable double eyelids in a natural way, but dont remember any that formed in the middle of their career o.o weight loss does impact how they might look interestingly too lol

What causes some people with lip fillers to get this super obvious protrusion on their upper lip, while others don't? For example, Yooa has had pretty extensive lip fillers, but her mouth side profile never looked super off.

Ateez' makeup artists go insane with eyelid glue on San sometimes and it looks so weird on him. I hope he realizes how much more charming he looks without it. Not everyone needs big eyes and double lids to be attractive.
