I did, and this may sound weird, but I love Giselle’s teeth. They’re super cute. No one seems to have got veneers apart from Winter (yay!). NingNing will definitely be the cutie-sexy of the group. As of now, she looks a bit bloated to me, but it might just be her having a chubby face rip. Winter’s nose is super duper high and defined, it looks like a bit too much on her otherwise flat and soft looking face, but I’m growing to appreciate her visual. I just don’t get what kind of surgeon would think an extra sharp nose would fit into a soft-contoured face, it could have been handled so much better smh. But she looks like an angel, and she’s an idol, it is what it is. Karina is so sweet and gorgeous, and I don’t want to comment to much on the aesthetic of her jaw as in how it goes with the rest of her features since it’s already been discussed, I just hope she’s happy with the change and doesn’t have any complications. 

The state of the bone, however... I don’t know how she’s supposed to chew. It’s one of the biggest fuck-ups I’ve seen from SM, they should have known better. This is something that comes up again and again (sorry) but it is one of the most blatantly aggressive procedures I’ve seen performed on an idol. And I say this as an EXID stan (still get the shudders when I think of Hani’s jaw+ chin+ forehead situation).

I knew it was bad before, but here’s her actual jaw without fillers masking the dent. Just how, why, what for. She’s 1cm of bone away from having her jaw disconnected from her ear alla Wendy. I was so shocked I had to double check.

But I still think the industry would be better off if most idols straight up admit it if asked(like Jung Chaeyeon did very early - now it is never brought up except by anti-s) or even take pride in it (like Kwanghee seems to do). It might take the stigma out of it.

I thought Sooyoung was by far the most visually appealing out of all SNSD’s members when I first got into KPop. It took me a looong time to even begin to see Yoona’s appeal.

Jungkooks plastic surgery is the most interesting to me out of all the BTS members, precisely because he debuted so young. I’m quick to call bullshit on anyone that dares play the age/maturing/puberty card on members like V or Jimin, who were already 18 on the year of their debut, like c’mon. Also, there are armies willing to defend JHope himself against PS “accusations” so I dunno why I’m surprised.

This was Jungkook’s nose state in 2020. Triangle shaped nostrils and it feels as if they’ve taken away too much cartilage from the tip. Looks way too short and unsupported.

I also wonder what made him feel like he needed double eyelids at this point in his career.

Miyeon did something to her jaw, I think it’s botox injections to make it slimmer. I’m pretty convinced she’s otherwise natural (that we know of), but she relies on botox a bit to much (that’s what gives her the creepy doll look sometimes). There are almost no pictures of pre-predebut Miyeon, and by that I mean of her before she joined YG, so it’s hard to tell.

Shuhua is natural, she doesn’t even have her hair dyed lmao.

Minnie had her chin and eyes done, as an user here has suggested.

Yuqi may have had her skin lightened and I think that’s very much it.

Also want to discuss what went on with her nose throughout the years. I wish she had let it be as it was in pic 3, a toned down version of a hooked nose that gave her a very distinctive look. Her bridge and tip have been changing so much it’s hard to keep track, but considering the fact that it hasn‘t collapsed it is pretty much confirmed she underwent 2 rhinoplasties at the very most and resorted to reshaping it with the use of fillers.

The other possible area of change I notice is his nose but I think if anything was done to it, it happened after debut. Kai has a very distinctive with a hump in profile. Now, I do see a straight-looking bridge in many recent pictures but think his nose is often photoshopped because in other pics the bridge is still uneven. My question is whether or not there were slight alterations to his nose or not but with photoshop and the fact that I couldn't find any good, recent pics of his side profile, I'm not sure.

His eyes look bigger (not extremely so) whereas they where like slits before. And eyes only seem to become smaller as one ages due do facial growth. Something may have happened there. His nose, on the othe hand, seems to be naturally god-given. (And multiple pics from different angles help with comparisons, so no need to worry about that!)

Here she is looking like a XIX century Virgin Mary Apparition.

My personal take on her visual transformation and what she may have had done:

-Bichectomy: Mina had naturally chubby cheeks, even at her thinnest. They widened her elegant and longish face shape somehow. With the years, she hasn‘t lost any weight that could account for the noticeable loss of volume and sag in the lower face, but rather put on bit. That‘s why I think she got a buccal fat removal.

-Minor rhinoplasty: If my eyes aren‘t deceiving me, Mina‘s nose went from moderately bulbous and downward pointing to a daintier slope with a more sculpted tip. I think she may have tinkered with it more than once. Her nostril shape seems to be altered as well: what before were slightly flared out alars have been conservatively tucked in, giving a mildly more “pinched” look to her nose.

-Blepharoplasty: Mina’s eyes are naturally huge, but they didn’t have the high and defined double eyelids she sports nowadays, the ones that, as one user here said, give her that “sedated” look whenever she doesn’t keep the wide open. She always had a crease (that we know of) but her upper eyelids are now much more exposed.

-Chin filler and possible jawline filler: Her chin is now longer (it was on the shorter side before, still pointed, but somewhat more receding) and more projected. Her jawline was rather soft before, but it seems to change with time, that’s why I’m dubious on whether  it’s filler or botox for skin tightening around that area.

-Possible fat grafts: that sound like a fairly good explanation for whatever goes on with her occasional all-of-a-sudden full and youthful cheeks.

Come to think of it, a career as an idol, with special emphasis on female idols, has quite the bleak side to it in that it is essentially a short lived trajectory. At what age do female idols start to get called too old? 28? 29? To be honest, from the perspective of a Westerner, I often get deluded into thinking Asians are younger than they really are (they seem to have their own version of the Black Don’t Crack), which isn’t the case with most idols. I don’t know if it’s the hectic schedules, stress, overworking, the bad aging work that takes every remnant of freshness away from them or a combination of it all. I know it may bring wealth upon some of them, and that some are indeed living their dreams, more or less, but it also appears to me that most of them have to risk and sacrifice way too much for what ends up being (for most of them, not talking about the outrageously successful ones) a 7 year period max. Whenever I see content from ex idols from nugu/ seminugu group I get extremely sad, like with the Cheska situation, for example.

I think she‘s definitely had her tip shaven down and the nostrils tucked.

in a recent video

I only noticed this while watching a predebut video of him singing when they zoomed in on his side profile. they seemed to have lifted(?) the bottom part of his nose up and made the bridge straighter. It's actually quite well done, i've never suspected him of a nose job because it fits his face really well. 

Also i remember like a few hundred posts ago there was someone saying something about Jaehyun having gotten his nose done and they posted a picture of him at some award show ( he was wearing a suit and his hair was purple or grey i think ), and in that picture you can clearly see a nose job scar on his septum. I tried looking back in the thread and i can't seem to find that post and i also can't find that exact picture. but if you have it please quote and reply it for all of us to see.

anyways in this rookies picture you can see the shape of his nose (especially the tip) when he is smiling.

 

now look at it again in a recent photoshoot

The tip has definitely been refined and they is more of a shape to it. before it was rounded and now you can certainly see that there is a straight line throughout his nose from the front view (as opposed to it being interrupted or in a more triangular shape due to a bulbous tip). I'm 100 percent sure on this and anyone else probably would be too if i can find that goddamn picture of him with the scar. I think he had this done somewhere between firetruck era and regular era (big time jump i know). because if you check back on the photo of those times, the changes on his nose was not big enough to be pointed to surgery, however after regular era there definitely was a big change. His whole face became sharper including his nose ( i suspect this to be because sm wanted to push the prince image on him to make him more popular ). sm is know for doing stuff like this and when i first noticed it i thought it was strange because Jaehyun always seemed like a twink to me but it seems to be successful so good for them i guess??

Usually circle lenses feature much larger pupils, but it's hard to tell when they're naturally-coloured anyway

this is a picture i saved from this thread not long ago. notice how the tip of his nose is slightly longer than his nostrils. he also overall has a kinda straight bridge that points a bit downwards at the tip.

i have no idea when this photo was taken so i originally didn't used it in my earlier posts about him. I've heard it is before he even joined sm since he still had his original jaw. at first i just brushed off this as him growing into his nose thus making it seem smaller now. however, in a closer inspection, there is almost no definition in his tip and you can clearly see the extra skin that forms a ball shape.

also note the size of his nose bridge compared to his tip.

 in this picture you can still see the lack of definition and the big size difference of his tip compared to his bridge. 

now look at these photos:

the excess skin surrounding his tip has disappeared and his nose looks overall a lot more harmonious. the size of the tip and the bridge flows well together and his nose also no longer look as flat as it was in the upper photos.

So, I just want to add my take on epicanthoplasty. From what I’ve seen thus far, it is performed in EA in order to get rid of the caracteristic epicanthic fold and to create a more roundedly open look via tear duct exposure. That means, the finish tends to be a rounded edge.

It can be rather subtle in its results, and due to its eye-enlarging purposes it makes me think it might be rather common in Kpop.

I used to attribute way to much to double eyelid surgery, but it doesn’t quite enlarge the eyes in the ways we usually seen in idols’ transformations.

Even this!! (I would have been fooled into thinking it was natural, that’s one skilled doctor)

The changes are so milimetrical it makes them incredibly hard to spot, but they are SO much more common than I initally thought.

It's so bad...it's a basic rule too, don't give warm under toned people yellow based hair colours because they look AWFUL. Period.

I second this. And getting the tones right with makeup is soooooo damn important. I’ve endured too great a number of Tragic Lipstick Situations throughout my stan life. I won’t start ranting on foundation since I don’t feel like having nightmares tonight.

I've noticed that he looks a lot "prettier" these days and more baby-faced compared to a few years ago too. I have no idea about a jaw shave, but I've realized that he did something to his nose while going through old photos; I think his nostrils/the tip are smaller?

It’s an interesting case since his features appeared stronger as a whole, more blunt. It’s almost like the facial contour has gone from striking and powerful looking to sharp and delicate in a way. He’s also aged, of course, he will turn 30 this year. I wonder how that could have affected his visual as well.
