Honestly I'm still not too sure about it. I do have the same suspicion as you do. But it's hard to confirm bc he is been using fillers pretty heavily in his chin/jaw area. Anyway his chin used to be very angular and when he laughed he had some 'dents' on the jaw. Now he doesn't have it anymore. I'm thinking it could be implants of some sort? Who knows... there's so many surgeries. 

Although lately he's been looking very natural, so probably he stopped using fillers and it could be a combination of braces and fillers like other users have said!

i am %100 sure he has fillers on his jaw and connection points,but based on how comfortably he uses his jaw (like opening so widely in some cases) i doubt there is implants. Otherwise ugh he is harming his jaw 24/7 and Hoshi is extremely careful of his health; that would be unlike him.

Also, that pic is from middle school, compare his pics form his trainee times and highschool instead, he went through a puberty during the process of this pic lol

He was one of the most popular trainees so there is tons of pics you can check 

Honestly especially these days, he is at similar weight as predebut, only more muscular, so you can see he looks similar hell same in some cases minus filler

He had chin fillers AGAIN btw, but you can see he doesnt look much different from previous pics, especially compared to black haired pics from above ^^^

Thanks for the pics! I edited the post after and I agreed with the other user that was saying braces re-shaped his jaw and fillers did the rest.

So we're actually on the same page here  
It seems Hoshi is not into plastic surgery as he said on Radio Star so the most he's done is fillers, which is great! 
I'm so glad many Seventeen members are not into the typical idol plastic face. It's great they are preserving their unique feature with minor tweaks here and there. 

I've seen so many similar looking young idols lately...it's quite sad I thought we were moving past that.

to be fair it doesn't exactly look bad or anything. i just feel like his old nose was perfect for his face and added so much more character.

 

now he kind of has that same polished, uncanny valley look as the guys from ateez, which means he sticks out like a sore thumb in the boyz who are overall a very natural looking group.

I love that you brought up Ateez because on Reddit everyone is convinced they look 'oh so natural', 'not like idols' and so 'unique'  meanwhile i'm here thinking they all have that uncanny valley look lol But of course i can't say anything unless i want to be downvoted into oblivion eh

i think their ps is very immediately noticeable, even without seeing any before and after pics you can basically tell what they've had done, because normal people just... don't look like that lol. not that there's anything wrong with that. i think they all look very snatched, in the same way chanhee looks snatched with his new nose - not quite human but more like a video game character or something.

Yeah, it looks like everyone got a nose job and not a very subtle one...their surgeon didn't do a great work imo. Yeah they don't look ugly or botched it's just obvious.

Yeah me too! I just feel sad that Joshua is in the mindset that he NEEDS surgery. Because he probably had all the 'right traits' (there's no right features of course, i'm just talking about the beauty standards in kpop) for a kpop idol. Even when he was a trainee.

I do know it's not impossible! I have the 'perfect nose' myself, but i'm also white, what was the probability of having such a high bridge and perfect tip? I don't know maybe you're right and  Joshua just got some fillers here and there to shape his nose better. It's hard to tell there's not many pictures of him predebut/in America. 
Anyway I still don't see why he would get even more fillers? Most idols get surgeries to have his original nose!

DK's nose is just....a surgery gone wrong. It doesn't really fit his face and it's obvious and beaky. He still looks great, bless him, but it's not a high quality nose job.
I liked his pre surgery nose. I seriously think most idols had a great nose pre surgery. Only a few 'needed' surgery. 

Oh and I'm glad Minghao didn't get a nose job, it looks like it was fillers.

Minghao is one of the better examples with obvious experimentation that isn't overblown I'm glad it's more fillers than not. Joshua was near the top too before the slice

I also have no idea what surgery he had, probably it's a rhinoplasty though? Yeah it's not like he looks bad it's just weird sometimes when he laughs. Yeah he should have had what Dino did, 100%.
His double eye lid surgery is actually one of the best, very natural. I had no idea until i looked at some pre debut pics.

Oh I see...It's okay to want to be the best version of yourself but I feel like they either must be feeling really pressured for some reason(maybe bc Pledis is under BH now?) or some people in management suggested it.
Yeah the teeth thing surprised me too...I never thought he would get them at this point, I mean it's been five years since debut and if he wanted he had money to do it before. Meh, I personally really like when idols keep their original teeth, veeners end up looking bad on people who don't need them sometimes. Hoshi's teeth are still pretty similar to his original ones so at least it looks good.

I think there is some type of pressure like you do too. Svt members who make changes ATM, are all talked as "if he changed that he would be more gorgeous" on pann. Like Joshua for example, was gorgeous, yet he got comments about how his nose looked bloated alot. Result: he got a change after 5 years into their debut, which he had money but still didn't in previous years

I suspect management are saying things like ah you would be more handsome if you change this and this etc. Idols talked about how much they get comments like this before, so it wouldn't surprise me. Still it makes me too bitter. Its one thing to get something bcs you want it, and entirely other thing to get it bcs your CEO things its a good idea. 

I hope they wont get anymore pressured, even members with complexes wouldn't touch their face before, and now... Members who are absolutely confident in their face make changes rip.

I think like you do. I find all their facial features harmonious and even find some types of fillers eyesores (like chin fillers) that's why I was so surprised they make numerous changes all at once. Like... That's so not something svt does, it really surprised me rip. 

 

*Sigh* I guess the pressure got to some of them...I personally don't even like what Seungkwan has been doing to his jaw, whatever it is. I hope at the very least it's something they got bc they wanted or something that is not permanent.  I really want them to stay the way they are. Their features are perfect as they are. I don't want them to look all the same like young idols look right now....jesus, look at the I-Land boys...i swear they all look pretty similar, the amount of nose jobs i've seen is worrying.

Personally I wouldn't trust them, just bc you can't evaluate something like that from photos. You have to see the person. And also they are very aware of the fans looking their video, so I would take it with a grain of salt. Although i do believe hip hop unit is mostly natural or had very minor things done but nothing face altering.

Yeah, it doesn't add anything. Lol at the pointy chin line. I feel like they are doing it bc they think they 'need' it (which is sad bc we can't all look one way) while I think one of the things that helped SVT's popularity is their unique, natural looks. I'll also forever be sad about Seungkwan's recent obsession about slimming his face. 

Idk much about Stray Kids but yeah, THAT CHIN is tragic....
