Guys what do idols do to get this acne free and beautiful skin??? I had a crystal clear skin when I was in my teens but now i'm in my f*cking 20s and suddenly I get acne all over my right cheek. My doctor said it's bc of "my age" and they will only go away when I am old and this is making me depressed. How is 20s even an age to get random acne on your cheeks.

I had hormonal acne all over my face throughout my teenage years and it took so long to figure that out… I agree with the person above to go to a dermatologist and if you think that‘s a right thing, take a blood test to check your hormones, in case they are all over the place like mine were.

Thoughts on Yuna’s potential jaw implants? I don’t have a lot of other context, but I’m wondering if this could signify a shift in beauty standards from the typical jaw shave look? It just seems so uncommon for a female idol to go for this kind of look.

Personally, I think the implants mess with Yuna’s facial harmony, and she could do without them. Mostly I’m thinking of how unnecessary they were. The implants give her a much blockier look which as far as I know, isn’t as popular.

https://instagram.com/stories/kpoprocedure/2957753446622901078?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

I thought everyone was still going for the egg look? (I tried very hard but I couldn't put it more eloquently lol and I'm very tired rn)

I wonder what happened. I just really wish young idols like Yuna would slow down with all the procedures, if you're going that fast at 18 what will you do at 25? 30?

My guess is that Yuna is going for a more adult, also potencially a more western look? Like you said it's not very common in idols to see strong features like this, most strive for soft, feminine and young features while she is trying to get rid of her young and soft feature. While in the west you often see models with strong jaws and cheek bones.

not saying this to be mean and sorry this take might upset people but hobi's been botox'd & fillered. he lost all that weight but his cheeks are naturally that apple-y? nope

joon too. he looks different right now and i can't tell if it's weight loss and/or something else.

Can you share some pics regarding Namjoon? I was always assuming all of bts (and also the whole kpop industry) do fillers but in the case of Joon it never stood out to me, I think I was too concentrated on his nose.

Yeah, I talked about Jungkook and his blatant weight issues a couple of pages ago (he also gets praised a lot for his waist). If a female idol said half of the things he said there would have been a bigger outrage.

I just wanted to bring him up. He still seems to be dieting very hard, I’m honestly not sure how much thinner he can go. The other members often said his body fat percentage was in the single digits, I wonder why he still is so restictive still.

You are absolutly right, male idols get disregarded a lot more while they have as many issues with disordered eating as female idols do.

This skinnness thing is getting out of hand, it's crazy that this trends even creeped into some of the most successfull and established idols in the Industry. Bts were always very skinny, in my opinion (but so is literally everyone in this industry from my pov lol), yet it is getting every extreme and I feel like I can see that best in Jungkook. His face has not looked this skinny in a long time and I wonder if the way his body is right now is sustainable?. In what direction are they going? How will this end?

The industry right now is a breeding group for eating disorders and a fucked relationship with food, and if even senior idols cave under that pressure to get skinnier and skinnier I do not wanna know what rookies are undergoing right now.

I really forgot to post this but I wanted to talk about this weeks ago

When I see that first picture I got fucking scared. He looks gaunt. His face is bony.

Like even on stage his face looks sunken in even when the camera apparently „adds“ weight to you.

Also I think we had established that his nose skin is thining out and therefor you can see the implant but I did not think it would be THAT visible from a rather grainy, zoomed in picture. Could that also be the weight loss or just a natural thing that comes with time?

I feel like Yoongi is also unneccessary skinny. I believe someone had brought up that he had his cheekbone shaved after/before debut, so if you take that as a real statement, how skinny do you have to become for your shaved down cheekbones to have become prominent again? also to that extent. I feel like he‘s debut style skinny again.

I just really dislike in what direction all that is going. The whole band is super thin right now and has been for a while.

I don’t doubt they have been touching up on aespa’s faces, but I feel like a part of why they look so uncanny could be the filters and editing in the video? everyone looked really odd to me, even red velvet, that’s why I’m saying that. Like I can’t put my finger on it but they all look different to me for some reason

Perhaps it could be the different styling + cosmetic enhancement + weird filter/editing = oddly different look

I really do hope everyone here knows you can’t change your body type no matter how much you loose weight. Thinking that you can borders on unhealthy relationship with your body for me.

You can work out and build muscle while loosing fat but cannot literally change the way your body is build and claiming that you can is missinformation.

I’m also leaning more towards the hip pad side, since why would she or the company choose to do unessecary procedures when you can get the same result for much less money and zero negative consequences (which you cannot garantue with cosmetic procedures). Also keep in mind Itzy have been working like insane these days I doubt theres time to rest or get procedures done that might take time to heal.

Don't worry. They have procedures for that too

They do but there is no way to get that very buccal fat back. It sits deep inside the face, so once its gone nothing can be done to get it back. Where the buccal fat sits/sat can’t be filled but above that there can.

I think what you mean are fillers, probably for the cheeks. It is somewhat of a fix as it is temporary, so the area needs to be filled every few months for the effect to stay.

What’s why Buccal fat removal is kinda risky as it is completely irreversible and you have no way to know how your face will look in 10, 20 or 30 years.

Genuine question since someone mentioned possible fat grafting in the cheek area for Yunjin, couldn't the effects of a buccal fat removal be reversed through that procedure? Either through transfering fat in the buccal section or just mimicking how it would look if there was still fat in that area?

That is quite interesting, I didn't think of fat transfers in that discussion

So this is only what I am guessing could be the reasons but I'm not sure if what you said is possible. The fat can't be transfered into where the buccal fat used to sit, the only explanation I know is because the buccal fat sits too deep in the skull, idk if that is the only reason. Though I suppose one could transfer fat to a place above the buccal fat and that could mimick the buccal fat. I'm not sure if that would look the same though. The sources I watched never mentioned that as a solution to the buccal fat issue but I'm now interested to now if that would work.

Like I was watching a video about Shakira and the person said they think she often gets fat transfers to her face to continue looking youthful. It makes a lot of sense and I definitely think more celebrities do it than we think (not just because of buccal fat removal but to look younger in general). Its also one of the issues I have with buccal fat removal. It's become such a trendy procedure and you see all these celebrities doing it but in 10, 20 years they'll have enough money to get fat transfers (or other things) to counteract the dumb procedure they got in their 20s but everyone else who doesn't have millions gets stuck with a badly aging face because of some stupid trending procedure that only looked good for a couple years. Its stupid and I hate this rise of it being everywhere on tiktok and stuff

It’s so dangerous that cosmetic enhancements  become trends, because when these procedures become trendy they also become normalised and create an enviroment of social pressure go get these things done as well because everyone is doing them. We saw that with lip fillers and we are increasingly seeing that with Buccal fat removal. Only lip fillers seem to have less negative consequences than Buccal fat removal.

This will have the effect you talked about where average middle class people are stuck with gaunt looking faces, that need to be maintained by filler, which expensive especially longterm, to look normal again while the celebs that made it popular have no monitary issues with affording the procedures to mainting their trendy look.

Not an idol but has Kento Yamazaki ever been discussed here? What might he have done? I'm thinking braces/veneers are obvious and I've noticed his face used to be more round, I wonder if it's aging or he did something

OHH I loved him in Alice in Borderland and the death note movie!!

Looking at his old and new pictures, he seems fairly natural. Theres barely any pics from before he became an actor, it's really hard to say. If he did get something done it was very very subtle and looks really natural. Good for him!

I found this picture of Karina. It seems to be relatively unedited, judging by the quality, and quite recent literally from the Seoul Music awards yesterday. She is looking a lot more uncanny than in any recent photo I've seen of her. Like her face looks super tight and her nose looks so tightly pulled away from her face. I would trust a picture like this to be more real than anything posted by Aespa or SM themselves, as this picture does not make her look flawless. If this is the closest to how she looks like irl, I'm scared how much editing their photos have been getting. I only saw this one photo, though I also didn't actively look for any more, so idk how much truth this one picture holds. What do you guys think about the pic?

Imagine screencapping a lowlight 480p video and using it as a proof of face lifting or whatever Diddy was implying LMAO 🤣 karina have always had a prominent smile line since like predebut.

barely their debut.

2nd point: what are they talking about SM’s overediting and comparing it to that picture wherein she’s obviously being candid? Mind you, karina always have a neutral to smirk expressions whenever she’s always posted by SM. Literally find me a picture on aespa’s IG wherein Karina smiled as wide as their screencap?

this is literally her on ysl in a phone camera

spacer.png

They “trust” a screencap with too many compression artifacts 🤣 might as well trust a zoomed in oversharpened, smoothened figure and use whatever distortion it had as “evidence” of their “REAL face”

Don't be shy, you can @ me.

I was not implying anything, I was simply stating that her face looked tight to me and asked for others opinion, you read way too much into my statement. No need to be rude.

I was also saying that SM edits their pictures, which is literally common knowledge in this thread (not singling out SM, all kpop labels do this). That's why spontanous fan taken pictures have a higher change of not being overly edited, thus I brought it up here. I know it's not great quality, but try finding an untouched high quality photo, it's not exactly easy.

I also don't ''trust'' the picture I brought up, if you had read what I said you'd know I was merely saying what I thought was going on (MY opinion, not a fact) and asking what the rest though of it.

Cowards dropping clowns without elaborating. Stay delusional I guess.

People upset by it don't realise that WE made them plastic monsters, mindlessly praising idols bodies, posting very obvious unhealthy bodies/new face surgery with "look how pretty🥰" and sharing airport fancams to break their spirits. Calling Karina/Taeyeon goddess and you're surprised every other girls undergo surgery to feel worthy of dancing and singing. The so called 'pressure' comes from inside the house, and it's not 'body positivity and my free body choices' when you're encouraging others to harm themselves btw

your tone irks me so much, literally just don't call them monsters???

I saw that kpoprocedure posted something about Yoongi which strenghted my fleeting thought that he looks somewhat different. My first instinct would be that he touched his eyes (maybe widened the outer corners?) or did something to his jaw.

I tried to find fan taken pics from the last concert, here's a thread:

edit: I just realized kpoprocedure themselves posted a much better quality pic in their story so that one might more telling than the concert photos.

If he did, he did it before he was 15 which is a scary thing to do and  most doctors wouldn't give a 15 year old a nose job (as they shouldn't) due to things like face bones still growing.

I mean most idols debuting at this age have gotten work done as far as I think. I don’t even believe it’s a new developtment. I think even Jungkook had gotten cosmetic enhancements done before debut (correct me if I’m wrong). And if I do remember this falsely, then I want to say he still absolutly got work done (in my opinion) while being underage, my latest guess would be he started from around 2015, at 17.

Teenagers that young might maybe not get huge operations, like jaw shaves, necessary right away but I think it’s a lot more normalised in sk to start out young with “smaller” enhancements (like double eyelid surgery for ex). Like even (some) regular high schoolers get cosmetic enhancements, sometimes even as graduation gifts.

Yea but some ppl clowning me for saying he looks like he didnt shave his jaw lol. And he literally looks human to me. What even is “uncanny” for this forum? It seems yall learned the word uncanny and just attached it to almost everybody. Th.

Tell me when an idol looks like this and i’d definitely agree with u.

you know I used to think this picture was the funniest thing (it still is hard not to snort) but someone had posted this picture here ages ago and actually brought up how the woman probably is suffering from really bad body dysmorphia and that made me pretty sad ngl

Who is clowning you? Yes it is, anyone who binds should know this. You shouldn't bind for more than 8 hours (which in this context Karina probably wouldn't be, but some idol schedules do definitely last that long) and heavier excercise and/or more intensive physical labor shouldn't be done in very compressed chest binders.

Its also very easy to bind in a way that can be very detrimental to you. Anyone thinking about binding please remember to always bind with your nipples angled upwards, not downwards! I think people who are not trans/baby trans or who do not bind daily are much less likely to know this and accidentally damage their collarbones.

an add on: Also very important, even though it is depicted in media quite often, do not bind with bandages! proper binders have gotten a lot more accessible, it should be easy to get them, especially from the internet. That being said, they should also fit you right, as in they shouldn't be too tight, and you should be easily be able to breathe in them.
