unless she got something done very recently, I don't think Eunseo touched her nose. it's a somewhat big nose. and rhinoplasty makes small noses, tiny noses

 

WJSN's post-debut changes can mostly be seen in the chin area. and legs. I guess Starship is really into chin fillers and carboxy shots

 

even the girls that gain weight in their legs have that kinda stick leg thing going on (it was VERY obvious during "dreams come true) but I don't know if we consider that PS lol

i came across a group called newkidd02 and found one of the members, jiann, super cute so i looked him up and was shocked by how he looked before joining the group, he has had an obvious nose job, double eyelid surgery (i thought his eyelids looked a bit odd, especially when they were closed and now i know why) and maybe something done to his jaw. regardless, he is still really cute looking. it shows just how much this company wants the members to the epitome of cutesy flower boys, all the other members have the same pastel cute look. it's such a contrast to his predebut hip hop looking style. the group also has hansol, the ex sm trainee, who many people think had ps too. the other members are minors, so are too young to have anything done.

I don't follow this guy or whatever group he's in, so this is an opinion without bias or comparison

 

but honestly, a self-cam style video (or selca) isn't a great reference because filters can dramatically change your face shape and make you look plastic as fuck.

 

I'm just pointing this out as something to remember! I'm not saying he did or didn't have surgery because I don't know haha. but if this is the only thing that's making you suspicious, it's probably just the filter.

I recently started to watch Produce48 (i know, i'm late). 

 

I can't look at this girl without thinking what the heck is wrong with her face. It looks so off. Did she has jaw/chin saving or that's just her face? 

It's seriously out of proportion, seems like she's missing a piece of jaw/chin

Kaeun has always looked like that. if she got surgery, it was definitely very minor. certainly she did not get a jaw shave (or if she did it was literally like a decade ago)

it would also probably need to be a few years anyway. Serri's first nose job was like 7 years ago so it had a lot of time to heal

yeah my first reaction was probably "both noses are equally bad" because the difference is indeed jarring.

 

honestly if her nose had just been really small instead of really small AND really lopsided, Serri still would have been cute. it gave her a really distinct look.

exy def had something, her face is a lot softer looking than it used to be, most likely fillers

she's also had some weight fluctuations. I mean she probably got fillers too but she has never been as skinny as she was predebut.

in her predebut dance videos she is SUPER tiny. she had some pronounced weight gain at some point and I think it showed in her face. if Momomo was filmed not too long after that super skinny predebut period, that could be a reason we see her face as changing so much. because she hasn't really looked like that since.

 

honestly I think Exy is depressed. sometimes I feel like she is depressed about her weight or her body.

but that's probably just me projecting because I'm depressed about my weight/body lol

I think her weight gain might have been most obvious during "Happy" (SHE LITERALLY HAS A LINE ABOUT GAINING WEIGHT! IT'S IN THE SONG! WEIRDS ME OUT) but more recently she is thinner during Save Me, Save You promos

fillers PS though? When I think of plastic surgery I think more of permanent procedures like nose jobs and jaw shaves. Fillers and botox are temporary, right?

they are temporary. but they are still considered by most people to be plastic surgery.

no ofc not i meant the eyes may APPEAR bigger due to loss of facial volume. that said fans like to pretend they changed in appearance just through weight loss which is about as believable as kylie jenner achieving bigger lips with lip pencils

 

the noses are tricky considering how much can be done with fillers and makeup but i'd venture to say jihyo got her nose done recently, to make the bridge slimmer and more defined/flattering.

seconding that loss of facial volume does make your eyes appear bigger.

 

it's actually something people on weight loss websites talk about a lot: the possibility of having bigger looking eyes and cheekbones, sharper jaw etc as a side benefit of weight loss

 

if you look at before/after weight loss pics it's very apparent. the best kpop example might be kang mina. girl looks wildly different even though I don't think she touched her face.

 

even if I'm wrong about kang mina, it's still true that weight loss can make your facial features look bigger.

Because her whole lower portion of her face is gravitating and drooping towards one side now and it shows even from that photo. She looks plastic-y to me, but to each their own.

Speaking of Yeonjung, her chin doesn't look half bad imho. Sure, she looks different now, but if we compare it to other chin situations in this thread, hers was done well. Same with Hyebin imho, both pull it off.

And people talk as if they personally knew idols or what. No matter how many VLives you watch, they're still entertainers putting on a show. You don't really know them or everything that goes on inside their minds.

You have a point. I also don't think it's fair to say someone is obsessed with their looks if they do repeatedly get surgery. You really don't know what goes on in their heads or in their lives. There's tons of reasons for why someone may do something it's not all black and white. For me it's mostly speculation and it's pointless to make absolute judgments.

just curious, do you really think there's another explanation for someone like Park Bom (not picking on her, just the best example I can think of) could be doing so many surgeries for another reason than that they're obsessed with it?

 

the only thing I can think of is that they are literally forced to do it by their management but when an idol is getting so many surgeries that they're overlapping in recovery time...?

maybe he did get something done but I think you (and others) are SEVERELY UNDERESTIMATING how much the focal length of a camera lens can change your face. I'll make a post about it right now.

 

personally it looks like the difference with Siwon is just some aging + an entirely different focal length of the camera.

 

edit: ok maybe he did get his nose done and botox too, but I don't think it's as dramatic as that first set of photos made it look.

so, important stuff we need to remember in this thread:

 

the focal length of a camera lens can DRAMATICALLY change the way someone looks. look at these pictures.

 

 

 

notice how short focal lengths make the jaw/chin look extremely slim and the nose looks twice as big.

this is why we need to be careful comparing selfies to photoshoot pictures. they are taken with a COMPLETELY different lens.

 

I'm not making this post to call out anyone in particular, but because its easy to forget the influence a camera lens has on someone's face.

 

also: this is why some of us feel like we turn out so ugly in photos even though we look fine in real life. short focal lengths screw everyone over lol
