That's your opinion though, the general opinion in S.Korea still is that he's very good looking. I personally think he's handsome in a mature way. But maybe that's because I'm older than you, who knows 🤷‍♀️

I’m a year younger than him and I really don’t care for his looks lately. But that’s just my opinion.

Have yall watched Empire Bling on Netflix? It's about rich Asian people living it up in LA, and the first few episodes were really interesting.

One of the profiles, Christine Chiu (@christine_chiu88) is married to a plastic surgeon (@drchiuhps) from Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery.

She made an Instagram post detailing the procedures she got, which are: Botox/Dysport, lip fillers, Emsculpt on her arms and butt (bc her husband refuses to give her a Brazilian buttlift lol) and a boob job. Thought it was interesting, you can check out her post here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKovNbxAjWA/?igshid=1rdq2417861k4

She also wears double eyelid tape all the time apparently, you can see it in her 3rd photo in the above post

I have! I wanted to talk about Kane when I watched it! He's so sweet but those cheeks. I talked about Kim before and she's on the show.

Just went to the search bar to check it out! I didn't pay too much attention to her and just knew her as the dildo drama girl, it's interesting to see what she's done.

Kevin and Jamie look natural to me. Do you have any guesses for Anna and Kelly?

(I just realised I called the show Empire Bling instead of the other day round lol)

Anna definitely had something done and it was botched. I'm thinking cheek implants. She's my fave but yeah. Kelly seemed to have some procedures because her face is SO tight. There's this other guy there. I think his name is Guy, I forgot, but he looks...so...oh my god. He was more in the background with Kim.

Come to think of it, a career as an idol, with special emphasis on female idols, has quite the bleak side to it in that it is essentially a short lived trajectory. At what age do female idols start to get called too old? 28? 29? To be honest, from the perspective of a Westerner, I often get deluded into thinking Asians are younger than they really are (they seem to have their own version of the Black Don’t Crack), which isn’t the case with most idols. I don’t know if it’s the hectic schedules, stress, overworking, the bad aging work that takes every remnant of freshness away from them or a combination of it all. I know it may bring wealth upon some of them, and that some are indeed living their dreams, more or less, but it also appears to me that most of them have to risk and sacrifice way too much for what ends up being (for most of them, not talking about the outrageously successful ones) a 7 year period max. Whenever I see content from ex idols from nugu/ seminugu group I get extremely sad, like with the Cheska situation, for example.

Lack of sleep definitely plays into aging plus stress does also for idols. Also, a lot of injections will actually age you. Too many injections will make your face appear older.

A lot of people assume I'm in my teens or in my 20s and I'm 33. It's my genetics, skincare, don't care about anything so not a lot of stress and I take sleep very serious.

Stop taking people's opinion on tiktok or youtube even if they are doctors as facts. Just because they are a doctor doesn't mean they're always right. They did not work on the person they're analyzing.

Also, as a photographer, I can tell you some of the pictures used from official photoshoots are extremely edited (sometimes poorly) so try not to use those as evidence.

Rowoon should have stopped a while ago because it's only getting worse as time goes by. Idk if it's an implant or what but his nose looks really pinched and the injectables don't do him any favour. For me it's come to a point where i feel "uncomfortable" every time I look at his face and as an idol I can ignore that but as an actor it becomes a problem because I'd probably won't watch anything he's in and it's a shame because he's not bad.

Btw, what's happened to Zac Efron's face? 💀spacer.png

what is that i mean

no i mean what is that and why

I feel the same way too, about Jungkook and about Taehyung. Like when I looked up the heights and I saw y'all were trying to say jk and Taehyung are only like 5'6-7 it blew my mind. Especially when I think about pics like this

tumblr_pnis0iJG891xyuh2fo1_400.png

Like Yoongi's small and of course thats gonna make Taehyung look bigger, but even if you just look at Taehyung, the space he takes up/his overall presence makes him seem like he's at least 5'9. lmao Its hilarious to think they're actually as short as 5'6-5'7.

This picture is edited. He looks under 5' here so yeah. Edited.

Either slightly edited or perfectly timed, around 2:25  you can see bigger size difference but its due to one slumping, other puffing his chest out a bit, its not due to height.

Exactly. It might be both but Yoongi was slumping.

Fillers probably my attention was on her jawline, nose AND eyes, so there is some editing going on there, i would love to see picture without any editing to confirm there is fillers or not, because i remember she previous had them toobut it was never this much

Well I can tell she has lip injections but, like you said, the picture is edited so it's hard to tell if she had any other procedures.

I have a genuine question in regards to people that get PS it involves contradiction. Here it goes.

I'M USING PARK BOM as an example of the type of behavior I mean.

Since I've been following 2ne1 for years, especially Bom I've noticed her words and actions are VERY contradictive.

during their Can't Nobody era in 2010 she and Minzy where facing the mirror and Minzy said "we look pretty because of the lighting" and Bom said "it's not the lighting, we ARE pretty". In 2010 Bom still had her debut face but with no fat grafting, he face was flat (she got addicted to them after 2011) She still looked amazing and natural though.

Time went on and we know what happened to her, Bom kept getting work done,  especially nose jobs.

In 2014 during their AON tour, a fan shouted to Bom at an airport "Unnie, you're pretty" and Bom yelled back "I know!"

her  ridiculous (and imo one of the worst nose jobs of all time) 2015 MAMA nose and more work including more noses and a butt implant happened again after that.

Bom has gone live on IG hiding her face with filters, once a Grinch filter. She also would hide her face with her beanie, like she pulled the beanie all the way down to her nose and wouldn't show her face.

Another instance she cut short her live because she said she didn't like how she looked.

Another time she put the phone at a high angle and a fan asked her to move the phone and she said "no! this angle makes me look pretty"

She went live doing her makeup around that time she was the biggest she was weight wise. She asked everyone to remove the live but didn't say why (it was obvious she didn't like how she looked)

She's now addicted to the snow app, she warps her face to the point that her head is the size of her fist and her lips are bigger than Angelina Jolie's.

One person commented on her IG to stop doing stuff to herself and Bom replied "are you sure about that honey? Because I haven't done anything to my face at all" LIKE .... wth. Her fans said "see! she's natural! she's never done anything to her face!" other said "oh she meant recently!" < like they put words in her mouth that she never said. She clearly said "AT ALL".

But in her last interview she did with a magazine, they asked her what she didn't like about herself physically and she said "Oh I can't answer that, because I love myself"

She has posted pics of heavily filtered polaroid and deleted the pic, she posts pics and deletes them often. And she hasn't posted in SEVERAL months and I think her image issues have to do with it.

my question is HOW CAN SOMEONE SAY SHE LOVES HERSELF yet go through SO MUCH PS?!!

Her fans praise her for being "confident" they lost their minds with that interview saying "see bishes! she's a confident queen"

but her actions show the COMPLETE opposite!

Anybody a psychologist here or is knowledgeable about this type of behavior?

I CANNOT understand people like this for the life of me. If they loved themselves, then why did they completely change their face and body and never stop?

and my second question. Why don't fans SEE that their fave has issues with their self image and instead choose to believe what their faves says even though their actions show the opposite?

Not a psychologist but I think she has body dysmorphia.

Yeah I know that.
But I wanted to see if anyone had an insight on the contradictions.

I think she’s trying to make her fans think she’s truly okay hence her telling her fans she knows she’s pretty. As for her when she is contradicting herself, I think she’s having moments where she’s having moments where she wants help. But I’m not a psychologist so I don’t know.

I am convinced she wants to look Blasian

She really wants to be another race I feel. It's not even how she looks at this point. Her accent and everything just screams "WHAT IF I WAS BLACK" and it's just beyond weird now. Also as a black woman, Jessi, that's not how we all are. She wants to be a combo of Meg thee Stallion and Cardi so bad.

Guys. Jessi is playing up a stereotype and that’s why black fans find her corny. That’s all she’s doing. The problem also lies in the fact that this stereotype has ostracized us and we were mocked for the way we speak but then other people come along and do it so  becomes trendy. That’s the problem.

. but jessi would know better since she's from the states lol

One would think that but non-black POC constantly use the n word (yes they know the meaning), constantly try to wear hair like us and do everything they can to fit into the black community while at the same time mocking the black community. AAVE is fine to use IF you know the origins and realize that not all black people speak that way. We are not a monolith but there are certain things that make up the black community that's always constantly made fun of that's become trendy. Our hair, our lips (legit was made fun of just a couple of years ago by another grown woman because of my lips), our curves, etc. The thing about a black woman's curves is that no one that wasn't black NEVER wanted our curves until the BBL was popularized. Now all of a sudden it's cool to look like us.

That's why black kpop fans call out Jessi. Her tan? I don't care about. I typically don't care about this type of stuff but I guess people need to know why black kpop fans get offended by this stuff. It was simply because everything about us that was mocked suddenly became trendy when a non-black person did it. I wish non-black kpop fans can understand that.

But as far as like the hair and styling I just find all of that corny as hell.

This is not that related to the topic but someone from a blog has discussed this (and the owner said that she's black) but what do you think of people who use AAVE and are not black?

For example, Mark from NCT speaks English with AAVE...

I'm black so I can answer this. I actually don't care because some people sound dumb as hell and when they try to put on a blaccent with it they sound dumber. I don't speak in AAVE though.

One of the reasons I am hesistant of getting a nosejob. Like most nose jobs I've seem have the nostrils looking like that some worse than others. It's exactly how I tell someone's nose is fake.

I could tell at first because of how pinched her nose is and then I saw the nostrils. I don't know. Her nose doesn't really suit her face. She looks too...alienish.
