I saw a post on Youtube saying Wonyoung was always this skinny and that 47 kg (if that even is her actual weight)  is normal for her height and that we shouldn’t ‘skinny shame’ her  man that’s why I hate stans, they wouldn’t see unhealthy if it hit them in the face.

Sorry for the double post but I’ve been wondering and it’s somewhat on topic. Is Wonyoung getting this much face filler because her face would start looking gaunt without it bc she is so thin? I know she is still young and may have some resedual facial fat left from childhood but at some point  if you are on a very low weight your face will start to look hollow and I wonder if that would be the case for her… (I also haven’t really seen her in her Izone days so I really have no idea how her face looked in that time)

side note, are we absolutely sure of wonyoung's height and weight? tmi but i'm a few cm shorter than wonyoung and usually am a little heavier but can sometimes dip under, close to wonyoung's alleged weight and am pretty skinny. don't have an eating disorder at all, just have a pretty hard time gaining weight. while wonyoung is supposedly only a few cms taller than me and possibly around the same weight at times, she looks much skinnier and frail while i'm pretty skinny but don't look, to put it bluntly since i can't think of a better way to describe it, malnourished. i'm not too well informed on the human body, how and why different bodies can look a certain way etc but i feel like if we're near the same height and weight, we shouldn't look that different? am i underestimating how different bodies can look? does she just have really long legs which with the added skinniness can make her look way different? like what's going on

We will never be actually certain of an idols height or weight, I've heard companies lie about that as well, I just didn't have a hard time believing her weight because she would, by BMI, severely underweight, which matches her appearance as well. 

It might be that you have a different bone structure than her or fat percentage? I'm not really sure either about that but like you said people can look quite different from each other. And I wanna point out in weight and height a few cm's can def make a change, in my opinion. 

 

I think Starship would wait just as long until she physically can't work anymore , since that seems to be the general standard towards illness in the industry. If they even do anything about it, that is. I always found it disgusting that idols were praised when working while very sick, might just be a culture difference but theres's nothing cool about idk like someone half concious on stage who can barely hold themselves up, everyone deserves rest. 

There's no winning with the general public. Whatever she does will get critized. She's so young, let's just hope she can be happy and healthy soon...

I found a really interesting video of how the tools plastic surgeons need for operations are used!! Her explanations of the surgeries are very good. Very interesting, those are things the people discussed here most likely went through with.

In Bts, for sure. You can't exacly compare him to Hoseok or anything, they are worlds apart in the sense of cosmetic surgery. In my opinion Jin looks the most subtle and therefor the most natural out of all of them, everyone of them got ''obvious'' (to us, at least) work done. I do believe that he is the most consistent in the group. 

In no way is he natural but he does look it the most, out of Bts. But that's just my take.

Do you realize that most groups are at their skinniest when they debut? which Itzy did in 2019. This just shows that Yuna (and Ryujin I might add) are now just as skinny/possibly skinnier than at their debut. So the comparison is pretty useless.

I’m glad a lot of people agree. Calling people names is shitty, doesn’t matter if you say Jigsaw or Voldemord. I don’t understand why it was nessecary to do that. 

Some of y’all seem to forget that we are talking about actual humans in this thread, even tho they most likely won’t see this, it doesn’t hurt to not be mean.

I hate it so much, they nearly blend into the wall behind them... we need less editing on photos in kpop, for the love of god. If this continues like this I don't wanna know how the pictures will look like in 3 years.

A lot of idols have such a large/blunt (?) nose tips, is that an after effect of a nose implant? on top of my head I can name Jungkook, Lisa and Yuna as well, having noses like that. If we look at the  new photos above of Yuna, we can see that her nose tip isn't really small, in my opinion.

I've never given it much thought since starting to obsess over it can become very unhealthy quickly, but on top of my head I'd say masseter botox too (like you I have a wide jaw and round face). I have a high nose bridge and rather inward nostrils but theres a tiny bump they might want removed, though there are idols with bumps what people think look charming, like Sana if I'm not mistaken. They'd wanna open up my eyes a bit and give me buckle fat removal bc I have a very soft face. Kpop hates diverse looking chins so my dimpled chin probaly has to go aka chin implant haha.

not a surgery though not to forget I'd need to drop a lot of weight bc right now in kpop standards I'm probably considered obese

It is creepy to make a virtual public figure and then make it look like already exsisting idols, yikes…  

Interestingly V-Idols aren’t a very new concept. There’s a full virtual gg in kpop, they debuted last year, so clearly the company has been working on them for a while. They look quite real but sometimes specific shots make them look quite uncanny.

There's definitely something extremely uncanny looking about them. At the same time, I feel like I've seen actual human kpop idols edited or filtered that look a little like these smooth, poreless, pale-skinned, doe-eyed and pointy chinned virtual humans....very unsettling to think about.

I think they are trying to normalise virtual Idols since it's alot easier to work with a programm than it is with humans, so perhaps more of such groups might debut. I very much hope this will not be the future of kpop, though who knows... Sounds dystopian to me.

You're very right, this is similar to how lots of idols look in pics and videos  especially 4th gens I gotta say.

You sound a little too pissed off in my opinion lol you never had to respond to my post, I just wanted to show something I found on the internet that was interesting. I'm sure everyone has eyes and can tell who looks not human and uncanny. I don't like V-Idols either, in case that wasn't clear, though that doesn't mean that I don't find them fascinating.

Funnily enough, you saying you blame BP, I came on here to say that Jisoo is looking too thin lately too.

I am basing this off on her insta posts, though I know those are edited and unreliable but so are basically all other pictures posted by idols, their companies and fans too… We also don’t have exacly much content to work with here.

Jisoo always had healthy looking thighs (for kpop) but now those are missing and her shoulders and collar bones are jutting out a lot. I don’t know BP very well but she really does seem to have lost quite a bit of weight.

Gaeul’s face is looking tight and plump. Also she’s platinum blonde now and according to the ‘thing’ that could mean she got some things done. 

(I’ll never stop wondering why idols under 20 would need filler, at all.)

Isn’t Leeseo like 14? Idk how many plastic surgery free pics you can find with such young idols, especially if they have been training for long. I do think it makes sense to use early pics since they most likely are procedure free at that time. 

Generally tho it is hard to judge if young idols have gotten things done because they change so much due to puberty but I think the general consensus is to assume that they aren’t natural bc this is the kpop industry and it’s rare for the people to not have gotten procedures done, regardless of the age.

She did something to her chin right?

It looks fine in some pictures but really not great in others, I think there’s also some bad photo editing happening. My guess would be a chin implant but that does seem like quite a radical change so I do hope it is only filler since her chin could start looking more natural sooner when the filler settles.

Unless the photographer went it and photoshopped the hell out of her nose in the 2nd pic, it's projecting differently, isn't it? 

Also, I don't really keep up with idols' weight loss/gain journeys so I have no idea if she's got slimmer as of recently but her face is looking thinner too, which makes the changes even more apparent. If you do see any changes, of course

I really like too how subtle the changes are. Plastic surgery that enhaces the beauty one already has is my favourite. 

I‘m not sure if this is recent development but in the right pic her lip corner looks a bit more upturned to me? I‘m not sure if I‘m seeing that right. Even if she did have her lip corners done, again it is very subtle.

I‘ll never understand why so many called Chaeryeong ugly, I really like her facial features, she‘s sooo pretty. I love that she that has such distinct features too and doesn‘t drown in between the basic looks that the industry cultivated as the “ideal”, and what every second idol already looks like.
