Why do companies insist on frying their artists' hair to get that yellow color. It rarely ever looks better than darker hair colors. There's other shades of blonde that are much better than the crispy yellow they go for

Her head looked normal sized to me in the videos I've seen. I think she's thinner than before so maybe that's what's making her proportions look off

If I'm not mistaken, gender has something to do with the forehead stuff? I don't remember exactly where I saw it but it was something about males usually having more slanted foreheads with more prominent brow ridges. 

Some people have the protruding, rounded forehead naturally (I think it's usually women but sometimes men have it too). Huening Kai's forehead is like that but I can't find a good picture

Sorry for double posting but I wanted to mention Ariana Grande too. I've seen her on The Voice a couple times and her face looks very stiff. I think social media made me get used to the really taut look because when I saw her in the same frame with Kelly Clarkson I was a little shocked. 

Sometimes the editing on her pics makes it look like her eyes are stamped on instead of them being imbedded in her skull lol. I don't really know how to explain it

The brow lift(s) she got made her eye area a bit hollow so maybe she's trying to hide that? I've heard that her first brow lift was botched so one eyebrow was higher than the other until she got a revision. I never put 2 and 2 together but it makes sense because for years she had the  look going on

And about their eyebrows... like half of the members showed up a couple months ago with super thin eyebrows and it seems like they don't plan on changing them

I think that to an extent, some of the changes can be explained by the current early 2000s revival. Her eye makeup a couple years ago was much darker and used more nude tones. Now it's much lighter and a little more colorful. 

And if she is intentionally trying to look asian, I doubt she'll ever admit it. I guess the only way we'll know for sure is if she gets another tattoo like the Tiny BBQ Grill one

I don't want to speak too soon, but it seems seonghwa's chin filler isn't as pronounced anymore

 

Edit: Also, is it possible that Jaehyun has some filler in his chin? I hadn't thought about it before but from some angles the middle of his chin is reminescent of seonghwa's when his filler migrates

There's this youtuber I watch every now and then and she just had a mini facelift. She said that she got a thread lift in the past but wasn't satisfied with the results. I didn't notice too much of a difference between her face shape before and after, but she's still swollen so I guess I'll just wait for another video

I wonder if it's uncomfortable to have so much lip filler that you can barely move your lips. When I google that I just get results about filler migration, but it's probably because the filler doesn't move fluidly/naturally with normal lip movement(?) I see that kinda thing with Siyeon and Yeonjun sometimes and it's so odd to watch it in motion

Siyeon’s lips are still puffy but what I don’t understand is why their muas overline them so much. It covers her cupid’s bow and makes her lips look so pillowy. They used to at least follow the actual shape of her lip but lately it seems like they just smear it all over 

Edit: Maybe they overline them so much because the filler made her philtrum longer? I can see how the overlining might help in that case but i still wish they would follow the shape of her lip border instead of making it all blurry

Does anyone else ever get shocked at how used to filters you've become?? Hongjoong recently shared some pics, the one on the left first (I think he sent it mistakenly) and then the one on the right. I'm so used to seeing their hyper-filtered pictures that I don't think I have an eye for how real skin looks anymore

I didn't catch Lorry Hill's video before it got taken down, but I always thought Doja was natural besides some kind of fat minimizing procedure. I know she lost a lot of weight around 2020-2021, but her stomach in particular has been looking very flat recently.

Speaking of fat reducing, I posted here a while ago about Linda Evangelista's CoolSculpting situation and I came across this video from that tiktok doctor so I thought I would share it in case anyones interested.

Does anyone else watch the anatomy/facial aesthetics videos from qoves studio? Sometimes when he describes things he can be very.... upfront, but I can't stop watching the videos now. I'm discovering so many new insecurities

It's such a tricky rabbit hole to go down because it feels like there's no end to it. I was reading up on the actual business behind Qoves (up until today I had only watched their videos on youtube) and apparently they offer online consultations. The consultation is just people paying $250 to send some pics to the company and an AI bot will point out all the flaws it finds. From what I've read, it's not even a video or anything, just still photos sent to a robot.

Another thing I found was "Face plus plus," which is used primarily for facial recognition, but also offers a "beauty score." It's exactly what it sounds like. It compares photos of other people from its database to the ones the user uploads and gives them a score from 1-100 (pic below for reference)

I can't imagine sending photos of myself to a sketchy business over the internet, but it's easy for people (especially people with preexisting insecurities) to fall victim to it. Then there's always a plastic surgeon that's willing to correct any "wrongs" for a couple thousand dollars. One would hope that with advancements in tech we'd be more open to different looks but it seems like things just keep getting worse. Hopefully in the future we get Baymaxs instead of these bots telling us we're ugly. I'm glad I don't work in an industry that's fixated on looks/physical appearance because I'm too weak for that.
