Does PS make you age like a crackhead or something?

 

I've always wondered why older idols keep getting shit done after they've perfected their faces... especially considering the fact that they're Asians and shouldn't be aging that quickly...

 

Like why do all of these 2nd Gen idols keep tweaking their faces?

A lot of PS requires continuous upkeep and some people get obsessed with looking perfect and are addicted to getting more work done in their quest for perfection, which is sad because more often than not, they end up looking much worse than when they started to process. The key is to know where to stop, but I'm sure it's harder to stop when you're under the limelight and your every move is constantly scrutinized and people notice everything about you and criticize you for the smallest of things, including your appearance. A lot of celebrities suffer from body image issues and perhaps even dysmorphia due to all the hate they get. Not to mention that production houses, companies and so on encourage them to get more work done so they'd be marketable longer and look younger for a long time. And plastic surgeons and different specialists also often reach out to celebrities and sometimes even convince them they need to have work done.

The thing with Chungha is that she got a lot of hate and mocking comments during IOI days for looking "old/older" and that probably got to her. I think she looks good nowadays too, but wish she would stop with the changes because they're unnecessary and tone it down a bit. She really didn't need any "improving" in my opinion, but some of the things she'd gotten done look good so I won't complain, but the fillers need to stop and her chin situation needs to unhappen somehow. She's still beautiful, but she looks much more fake now. I just want her chin filler gone tbh, that's especially unnecessary. Reading that you look like IOI's mother or a 30 year old when you're like 20 would get to anyone I believe.

Look how Wendy is beautiful without her bangs, I think her jaw isn't really noticeable when she doesn't have them. So it makes her looks automatically better.

All this time I was fearing that the reason she was wearing bangs all the time was because she got a forehead implant on top of that jaw shave and it looked horrible so she was hiding it, thank God that's not the case, now whoever told her that the bangs would take the attention away from the angle of the jaw is her enemy and should be fired because she looks so much better without them, younger, her nose doesn't pop out (like it does for some reason when she has bangs) and her jaw looks better. Excuse me for being obtuse but how does her not having bangs make her jaw look better?

 

Is it because there's more to look at, i.e. her forehead, so you don't notice her jaw as much? 

 

I agree that she looks much better without them, though.

 

 

 

When you don't see her forehead, the focus on her face shifts to her nose and jaw.

 

 

 

Even just partially revealed forehead looks much better than covered up completely.

 

 

Also, her face in general looks so much better at times when she's not forced to go on a ridiculous diet.

Yes, Jungkook debuted as a minor and that had nothing to do with the PS I suspect he had, which I think happened when he was of age and not before that so how does that have anything to do with anything? What I meant was that Nancy has looked pretty much the same ever since she was a minor up until now, and in all her predebuts!

"being of age" means being an adult to you? because in one of the pics you shared he was still a minor.

When have I said that? What are you even talking about? I've provided pictures over time as comparison of before and after, some were to show how his nosed used to look, some were to show how his features changed while maturing, and some were included to show how his nose looks nowadays, which I think is much different than before. Yes, there are idols who had PS done before debut for sure, but most idols I can think of had PS after they became of age, since a lot of doctors who have morals won't operate on minors, which is how things should be since teenagers are still growing into their faces/features/bodies and things could change. I knew a girl who had breast implants as a minor and hers burst some time after and she almost died due to it. I tend to assume minors don't have work done, but that's not always the case nor have I ever claimed it as such. Also, I'm not negging you, idk who is but it isn't me so I hope you don't think there's some bad blood here or anything like that.

I can only see one pre-surgery pic on your jungkook post tbh, since his nose looks 'new' on the 3 other ones. and one of them was when he still was a minor, like I've said on my 1st post here. I doubt you shared this one to show his old nose or how his nose changed "while maturing" since it looks pretty much the same as the other 2 below. and you clearly wanted to show that he had PS with these pics since you said it was "subtle". so it's either that he had PS when he still was a minor or he didn't get any and "his features changed while maturing".

Let me just clarify something - my post that you quoted was a quote of one of my old posts which included a lot more pics in the original. It's somewhere in this thread, some pages back, but I can't seem to dig it up again today. That wasn't what I said though. I'm curious, do you think Jungkook had surgery or not?

Fillers last around 6 months to 2 years, he's been in the industry for 4 years. He won't look any different from his YG days since he's maintaining the fillers.

 

And fillers can just do little things like fill in a indented scar, they don't always make a major change to your appearance. 

 

 

 

Your assumptions aren't right, plenty of teenagers get PS done in Korea and everywhere else. Even teenagers who aren't going into an industry where looks make or break you get PS in Korea. 

 

The kind of parents that allow their kids to become trainees and debut as idols, are likely also the type to say yes to PS. 

 

 

And also, remember, your of age on Jan 1st the year you'll be turning 19 in Korea. Jungkook has been an adult since 2016. 

But I literally said that people get surgery as minors in the post you quoted me, I just said that it shouldn't be like that IMHO. I just want to clarify what I meant when I said that I don't think Nancy did ps since she debuted as a minor - I wasn't saying it was a general rule, I just meant that I knew her face and saw her predebut pictures and she looked the same to me, and yes, I by default assume idols who are minors are natural until I see evidence proving otherwise because I go by "innocent until proven guilty" rule in plastic surgery cases except for the most obvious procedures (and no, I don't think PS is something you're guilty of, I had PS myself, I'm just trying to explain my way of thinking), but I'm not negating the fact that people do get surgeries as minors and if you've ever seen my posts in this thread, I'm not one of those people who claim all of their faves are natural because I have eyes and I can tell that they're not and I also like discussing this topic and sharing my opinion so that was that, I think Jungkook did his nose and I don't think Nancy did PS as a minor, that's what I was trying to say and I'm sorry if I expected myself clumsily, sometimes when I feel like I'm on the spot I literally forget my English and blunder my own train of thoughts because I'm insecure by that so hopefully people understand what I was trying to say now. unfortunately it seems that a lot of doctors in korea don't have morals because it's really really really common in korea for minors to get graduation gifts from their parents or relatives and get surgery (like eyelid surgery or nose surgery) during the break from middle school and high school

just a reminder that a lot of Koreans get PS before they turn of age and as far as I know it's a pretty common thing as long as your parents consent to it, so the "s/he was a minor" excuse doesn't apply here

That wasn't what I was trying to say though, my words regarding a single person were taken out of context. I only meant to say I don't think Nnacy had PS, I shouldn't have added the "debuted as a minor part" because this thread has already proven multiple times that the rule doesn't apply to Koreans. Most doctors where I'm from wouldn't operate on minors, with the exception of corrective surgery.

For SVT, not a lot of discussion but Jeonghan got a nose surgery.

We've talked about his, Minghao's and Seungkwan's ps here many times before. J and M had their noses done (both look great, but imho Jeonghan's was unnecessary) and Seungkwan had some moles removed and I think he had double lid surgery or enhanced his existing crease, which was also unnecessary because he looked great without it as well. Some people also said Boo gets botox in the jaw but idk.

I'm not too familiar with these two at all but the first guy looks like he just got filler in the areas where his nose dipped to try and make the profile look straighter.  He could've gotten a nose job too but I think the look he has now could've easily been achieved with just filler in the bridge.

That's what I thought before too but then people pointed out his nose was smaller & sharper with older comparison pictures, even though the one I've put, the blond one was more recent and there it really looks like a filler

Her nose looks off here, very different but time and time again people here have repeated never to use comeback photos from official photoshoots as proof of anything because they're always photoshopped to the max, so I went and checked for better photos and found these news ones from today

Her tip is less bulbous, which is something you can't achieve through fillers, not like that, and her whole nose seems longer, straighter and higher, so I'd go with both fillers and a nose job. It turned out good.

i came across a group called newkidd02 and found one of the members, jiann, super cute so i looked him up and was shocked by how he looked before joining the group, he has had an obvious nose job, double eyelid surgery (i thought his eyelids looked a bit odd, especially when they were closed and now i know why) and maybe something done to his jaw. regardless, he is still really cute looking. it shows just how much this company wants the members to the epitome of cutesy flower boys, all the other members have the same pastel cute look. it's such a contrast to his predebut hip hop looking style. the group also has hansol, the ex sm trainee, who many people think had ps too. the other members are minors, so are too young to have anything done.

Isn't that Choi Jaewoo from Produce 101? I don't think he had much or any work done, he looks pretty much the same to me? I remember him predebut and he edited his photos a lot, but that's it. Mayhaps he got nose fillers or had a subtle nose job because his nose does look different in some photos to me, but then in some others, it doesn't and it's still big, wide and unique like before.
