Any thoughts on SF9?

Rowoon looks like he's had his eyes and nose done to me. (The nose might just be an implant, I'm not sure). 

 

Taeyang looks like he might be mostly natural to me? I think a blepharoplasty is possible but he has multiple eyelids that look like they fluctuate to me so I'm not sure.

Also, his official weight was 64kg or about 141lbs but he recently revealed he actually weighed 73kg or 161lbs. I think it's quite possible that he did at some point, probably early in his career, weigh 64kg and has gained almost 10kg since, which would explain the fluctuations in his face.

Thoughts on SF9? Prt. 2

For Dawon, I see differences in his nose. I'm pretty sure there was some sort of implant put in. The nose now starts higher on his face than it used to and in some pictures when he smiles I can see what looks like the line of the implant (kind of like Rowoon).

Pre Debut (These are the only ones I could find in which he is old enough to compare to now.)

(I don't like using teaser photos because they are usually highly edited but in this one I see that his nose begins higher on his face than it did in his predebuts).

 

Here I see what looks like an implant:

He has extremely thin inner double eyelids which may or may not be natural (the predebuts aren't clear enough to tell). I'm leaning towards natural because I don't see any signs scarrage but I could be wrong.

I would love to hear anyone else's opinions! (I'm planning to post on the rest of the members as well)

Initially in the pics you showed which are less recent-  eyelids surgery, nose job and possible occasional jaw botox- his jaw shape would fluctuate quite a bit from looking at his past pictures. However if you compare him pre-summer breeze vs post you can see he's had more recent work done (and for the worse in my opinion):

Nose: seems narrower and more pinched - likely further nose job

He had a slim yet angular jawline and very unique eyes.  Overall unnecessary procedures; he went from being having a nice angular yet slim jaw and very pretty eyes. Now he looks face seems stretched and he's really lost that unique and masculine charm.

I could be wrong about some things and I'm not really sure about cheek fillers, botox etc. but overall apart from a few members SF9seem mostly natural to me.

Thank you so much! I’m still not the best at sporting procedures and what you’ve said is really helpful! Thanks especially for Inseong and Jaeyoon - they were both driving me up the wall. In Inseong’s case, because I saw changes in his nose sometimes but in other pictures it looked very similar to before. (I think whatever he got done to it was very subtle and therefore harder to spot.) For Jaeyoon, it was the sheer lack of predebut pics. I’ve always thought his nose looked too small for his face/ sort of unnatural, but I was questioning myself. I agree with you that it looks like Rowoon has gotten more work done and I think it’s a real shame. (There’s so much pressure in this industry to look perfect 24/7). Hopefully most of the stuff he’s gotten done recently is temporary and will go away with time. Though it’s entirely his choice,  I would be really sad if he lost more of his unique beauty.

My overall thoughts on SF9 (for now)

Hwiyoung, Chani, Zuho - natural

Youngbin - natural? (there are not many good pre-debut pics so it's a little hard to see but from what I've seen he looks natural to me.)

Taeyang - natural? (his nose does look slightly less prominent on his face now than it used to but I think that's mostly due to makeup and natural growing into his features. (He debuted quite young.) There are recent pics of him with no to minimal makeup in which his nose looks pretty much the same size and shape that it used to. A blepharoplasty is possible as well because sometimes his eyes look more wide open than before. However, his eyelids also fluctuate and look different in different pictures so I'd say probably no blepharoplasty, though I could be wrong.)

Even though his nose is contoured in the second picture the size and shape look pretty much the same to me as before to me.

Inseong - nose job (with implant?) (this one threw me for a little while because the change in his nose is very subtle. It has always been fairly sharp but I think it is slightly more defined now, especially in the tip. Sometimes when he smiles, or when he's singing his high notes, the tip points down strangely which I don't think was the case predebut).

Dawon - nose job with implant (I think his nose job is quite subtle and hard to make out especially given how few predebuts we have of him. He also lost a lot of weight. However, I do see some clear changes in his nose. The first is in the tip. In the predebuts, it looks like the tip of his nose points slightly downwards, while now it is at more of a 90 degree angle (neither downturned nor upturned). The other change, which makes me think he got some kind of implant put in (most likely silicon), is that his nose bridge now starts higher on his face. It used to begin right below his eyes. (His nose was on the "flatter" side). Now it starts about level with the middle of his eyes. The implant also seems to show up sometimes when he smiles or stretches his nose in an unusual way).

Jaeyoon - nose job, epicanthoplasty?, jaw shaving? cheekbone shaving? (Jaeyoon is the hardest for me to pinpoint anything on simply because I could only find one predebut picture good enough to compare to now. Based off the picture, I see his nose looks smaller/more defined, his eyes look wider, and his jaw and cheekbones are less prominent. Honestly, I don't think one picture is enough evidence for me to formulate an opinion on whether he's done most of those procedures. His nose is the only thing I'm fairly sure about. As of now, it looks very similar to some other operated-on noses. In my opinion, it seems a little too small for his face and overall narrow and slightly pinched looking, especially in the nostrils.)

Rowoon - I'm splitting my thoughts for him up into what I think he might have had done predebut and what I think he might have had done more recently

Pre debut: Nose job with implant, eyelids - (This much is pretty obvious to me. His crease used to be very shallow and barely noticeable (in some pics, not noticeable at all.) Now the crease is deeper and more apparent which is most likely the result of double eyelid surgery. As for his nose, it looks longer, sharper, and more defined than it used to which is likely due to some sort of implant though there may have been other alterations to his nose as well.)

More recently (as in this past year): botox and fillers, 2nd nose job, epicanthoplasty?, jaw shave? - (His nose looks more defined to me, especially in the tip, than it did after his first nose job. His nose has also started to look unnatural to me and overly pinched and thin. To me, the implant is even more apparent now than it was before. I think this change is due to some sort of second nose job he might have gotten more recently. I also see changes in Rowoon's face as a whole. It looks tighter to me and like he has less mobility. I think change this is probably due to fillers and botox. His jaw in particular looks more taut and his chin slightly pointier than before which could possibly be the result of a jaw shave. However, the change doesn't seem very drastic to me, so I think more likely the change is from botox in his jaw and fillers in his chin. Given the long recovery period that comes with a jaw shave, I think (and hope) that he hasn't had any shaving done. I also think it's quite possibly that Rowoon has been getting botox and fillers done for a long time, which could explain some subtle fluctuations in his jaw line. I think that I'm most likely only noticing a bigger change there now because he went a little "overboard" with them recently. Finally, his eyes have been looking more wide open as of late. In one photoshoot, it seemed like his epicanthic fold had pretty much disappeared. However, I'm guessing the photo was edited because in other pics his epicanthic fold is still present. This makes me think he might have had a more conservative epicanthoplasty. It's also possible that botox in his eye area and or cheeks are responsible for making his eyes appear more wide open. Likely, we'll have to wait and see.

It looks like nose fillers to me? His bridge is noticeably higher but I don’t see any of the telltale signs of an implant. I think both he and Junho have had fillers in their noses though Woollim tends to over-contour which does make it hard to tell. I think Hyeop’s had them since joining Woolllim (after Produce) while I think Junho has been getting them for longer. (Since before Produce?). Hyeop could’ve also had some minor tip refinement but honestly his nose minus the bridge height looks pretty similar now as it did before to me.

Thoughts on The Boyz Juyeon?

I've seen him talked about before on this thread and other places but mostly in passing. (In whole group posts). I wasn't sure I agreed with all the opinions I saw so I wanted to take a closer look.

Firstly, I'm pretty sure he had double eyelids done. There was no visible crease before but now I clearly see one. I don't think he did anything else to his eyes, however, because the overall shape looks the same to me.

The next feature I've seen discussed is his nose. I'm not sure if he's had work done on it or not. The 3/4 view is the pretty much the same and without makeup the width of his nostril and alar area looks pretty much unchanged to me. However, I think it's possible he had some minor tip sculpting. The tip seems to have always pointed down when he smiles but now it seems more defined? It's kind of hard to tell in my opinion.

Overall, his eyes, nose, and possibly lips look suspicious to me. Everything else looks pretty similar before and after, though I could be missing something. Once again, I would love to hear any other thoughts!

Thoughts on actor Song Kang?

I'm suspicious of his jaw. The mandible angle is very weak which makes me think he may have had some sort of jaw shave. However, his jaw (and his face in general) looks pretty much the same to me now as it did in his predebuts. The weird thing is that the only predebuts of him I could find are from late high school (graduation?). It's quite possible that he had work done before they were taken. Please let me know what you guys think! (I kind of suspect his nose as well but once again I don't see a major difference from the predebuts I have. I also think he may have had some more recent botox/filler work because his face often looks a overly tight to me as of now.)

I think Hyunjin has most likely had some sort of chin implant fairly recently. He used to have a rather weak jaw/chin. It was more blunt than v-shaped. Now his chin looks stronger, sharper, and more pronounced. It also looks slightly longer and more v-shaped. (No other major changes are sticking out to me but I could easily be overlooking something.)

Thoughts on Former X1/DRIPPIN's Cha Junho?

I wanted to discuss him because I think it's pretty much common knowledge that Junho looks quite different from how he did predebut. (Before Produce X 101). I know a lot of knets accused him of PS while on the show. I've also seen him mentioned on this thread but I've also seen people on other forums claiming that he's all natural too. I'm not sure I agree with all the opinions I've seen so I wanted to take a closer look.

For one, I think it's important to note that Junho was born in July 2002. Produce X 101 began airing May 2019 and wrapped up in July of that year. This means Junho was 16 years old (international age) when the show began and turned 17 towards the very end. Junho joined Woollim in 2018. I think it's safe to say that most likely any work Junho had before the show was done when he was 15 or 16. I couldn't find any defined minimum age for plastic surgery in Korea. (That doesn't mean there isn't one.) I know that some kids get their double eyelids done as young as middle school. However, I'm also aware that many doctors won't perform more invasive procedures (i.e nose job, jaw shave, etc) until their patients facial muscles have developed which happens usually somewhere in the mid teens. Because of Junho's age, I think it's less likely that he had any extremely invasive procedures and more likely that any PS he had was more minor, though I could be wrong. I'm going to look through the areas of change in his face/the procedures I've seen him accused of, and give my opinions. 

Overall, I see three clear stages in Junho's face: childhood to pre weight loss (I don't think he's had any surgery in these), post weight loss,  Produce to present. Now, these could be down to development, weight loss, plastic surgery, or any combination of these three. I've labeled all the photos below by which stage they fall into. 

The first area of change I want to look at is his eyes. Since double eyelid surgery is frequently performed on pre-teens, I think this is one procedure where Junho's being 15-16 wouldn't impact whether or not he did it. When looking at his eyes when he was a kid to pre weight loss, I don't see a defined double eyelid crease. Ok, so now I've reached the trickiest part which is his jaw. As probably noticed in the pics above, Junho has quite an unusual jaw shape. His chin is fairly strong, longish and pointy, while the rest of his jaw is quite tapered, forming a v-shape. He also doesn't have a super strong mandible angle, though I don't think it's weak enough to confirm a jaw shave. What's even more interesting (and confusing) is his jaw/chin area doesn't actually seem that different to me now than it did when he was younger. The only major difference I can see is that his lower face looks less "heavy," his jaw area is slightly narrower, which could be the product of a jaw shave. However, I think it also could come from weight loss possibly combined with jaw botox and or fat dissolving. I would say that the latter option is more likely. Given how arduous a procedure jaw surgery is and the long recovery process, I doubt he would have had it at 15. (I could be totally wrong and he still may have had his jaw shaved.)

But what confuses me even more is how square his face:

Some people already brought it up but different camera lens distort faces in a certain way, making them wider or narrower, that's why I mostly used side profile pictures. But I'm still confused as hell. Even if he did shave his jaw, when? I noticed it in 2018 when I saw his "Empathy" photocard and I thought, "Wow, Jeno got a slimmer face" however turns out his jaw looked like this since pre-debut.

Could he do it as a teen but then his face simply grew with age and now he has a square face instead of V-line? Or am I a clown and just see things? 

 

I think some people are just born with weaker mandible angles and it isn't something that is only a result of a jaw shave. I bet this is probably the case for Jeno because I doubt he had a jaw shave pre debut (he would've been 16?). I myself also have a weaker mandible angle without having had a jaw shave. Ok, so now I've reached the trickiest part which is his jaw. As probably noticed in the pics above, Junho has quite an unusual jaw shape. His chin is fairly strong, longish and pointy, while the rest of his jaw is quite tapered, forming a v-shape. He also doesn't have a super strong mandible angle, though I don't think it's weak enough to confirm a jaw shave. What's even more interesting (and confusing) is his jaw/chin area doesn't actually seem that different to me now than it did when he was younger. The only major difference I can see is that his lower face looks less "heavy," his jaw area is slightly narrower, which could be the product of a jaw shave. However, I think it also could come from weight loss possibly combined with jaw botox and or fat dissolving. I would say that the latter option is more likely. Given how arduous a procedure jaw surgery is and the long recovery process, I doubt he would have had it at 15. (I could be totally wrong and he still may have had his jaw shaved.)

His jaw confuses me? It’s sort of similar to Jeno (stronger from the front, weaker from the side) but more v-shaped and with a slightly stronger mandible angle than Jeno has.

Thoughts on The Boyz Younghoon? (mostly his nose)

I've seen speculation of three possibly procedures for him on this thread (I might have missed something): double eyelids, jaw shave, and nose job. Two of these I have a pretty strong idea of whether or not I think he them. The third completely throws me.

Number 1: double eyelid surgery

This one is pretty obvious to me. I don't see a visible crease in his predebuts but now I see a clearly defined one.

(His eyes look smaller here than they do now which could be a result of epicanthoplasty in combination with double eyelid surgery. However, in the first picture the shape of his eyes looks pretty much the same as now in my opinion. I think it's more likely the difference is from him squinting somewhat in the second two pictures plus probably getting double eyelids done. I could be wrong though.)

Number 2: jaw shave

I actually don't think Younghoon had his jaw done. He has a long face and seemingly always has had one. I also see little to no change in his jaw from predebut and during his active years. Anyway differences I think can be put down to weight loss (he said he lost a lot of weight predebut???) and possibly botox to his jaw. He also has quite a defined jaw and his mandible angle isn't particularly weak. This doesn't mean he didn't have a jaw shave, but, in my opinion, it makes it fairly unlikely.

3rd: Nose job

His nose is the one feature that really gives me trouble. It looks kind of suspicious to me, but I don't see much change from his predebuts. The width of the alar/nostril area looks the same to me. So those the bridge height. Then again, the photos I could find aren't particularly high quality and I couldn't find many different angles. If he had work on his nose, I think it was a slight tip reshaping (just like Juyeon. If they did their noses, I think it's quite likely they had the same surgeon.) If he had anything done to his nose, it was very subtle and therefore hard to detect without a variety of angles, which I couldn't find. I'm honestly not sure whether I think he did his nose or not and would love all the help I can get!

i wouldn't be surprised if she did get them done though. double eyelid surgery is probably considered such a minor surgery over there, it wouldnt be a big deal for someone as young as her to get it

It may just be the pics or I may be slipping, but I see a weaker chin now than she had before? I would think chin fillers would do the opposite.

As someone who’s fairly familiar with Kibbe,  I unfortunately have to say that the test is quite innaccurate. I, for example, tested Soft Classic when I am a Dramatic Classic. (I’m way to tall to be a Soft Classic.) I’m sure the test can be accurate for some people, but most of the time, in my experience, the best thing to do is get familiarized with the system and then type yourself. You can also submit pictures of yourself to the kibbe reddit page and people there will type you, though that can be inaccurate as well because pics are frequently distorted. My best advice if you’re interested in learning more about Kibbe/getting typed would be to read up about the system and also maybe spend some time on the main reddit page or the K-pop subreddit to get more familiar with it. He also did his eyes, probably double eye lid surgery.

So about the jaw shave, i mentioned before, i don't believe he shaved his jaw, he always had long and narrow face and his jaw was not prominent. He mentioned in a vlive not long ago, that he used to had 80+ kg before he started training, then he lost a lot of weight and now has 60+ or something like that (maybe i'm off with the numbers, but the difference was big). So his predebut chubby cheeks were gone mostly because of that. But i think that it's possible, he also did buccal fat removal. I used to be sure he did it, because of the change, but when i heard how much weight he lost, i think it's also possible it's due to weigh loss

 

Thank you! I agree he may have gotten buccal fat removal which could be part of the reason why his face looks thinner than it used to. (I also noticed that right before debut/debut his face looked even longer and narrower than normal. I wonder if that was right after weight loss and possibly buccal fat removal. Now, his face doesn't look quite as long and narrow to me but I think that's an illusion caused by slight weight gain? (Probably nothing very significant. He was just very thin at debut and looks a little bit less thin to me now.)) As for his nose, I was the same as you. When I first saw it, it looked done to me. After seeing the predebuts, I started to question myself because the change isn't really detectable from them (in my opinion.) I also think he must have had something done to the tip/maybe lower bridge area where his nose looks a little squeezed to me and slightly off. I'm not sure what specifically though. I wonder if it's possible that whatever he did raised his nose bridge rather than took away from it? (That could explain why the difference is hard to detect from the predebuts that pretty much just show the front view). It doesn't look like a silicon implant to me, but maybe it could be some sort of cartilage transplant? (I think Korea is big on silicon implants well a lot of other countries prefer to transfer cartilage to the nose for a similar effect. His nose looks more like a result of that to me than a silicon implant, though I could be totally off. I know very little about cartilage transferring).

I'm thinking his nose doesn't start higher on his face than it did before and the overall width of it is the same. However, I think he may have done something that projected the bridge more???

About the nose, what i see is narrower bridge. Not higher, but from the front is visible, that on the predebut photos or Whatta man MV, his nose bridge used to be wider. So if they slimed down his nose, the overall appearance changed, also the tip looks more refined. I feel like in this video he looks so different just due to his nose. I think the height of his nose didn't change, just the width of the bridge and nosetip, so if the nose is slimmer, it also makes it look like it's longer.

Hmmm that might be it. I'm kind of thinking he'd actually already touched his nose in the IOI mv though? (The bridge looks higher than in his predebuts imo.) The video was released in 2018 so The Boyz had already debuted. (I think it was around Giddy Up era?) In the video, his nose looks very similar to me to how it does today. One difference I can see is that the tip looks slightly blunter and shorter in the music video and now it's sharper? Maybe that's from filler? Or possibly an implant or cartilage transfer to the tip? I see other slight changes too but I can't really pinpoint them. Maybe he had his nose done more than once?
