I thought her lips were nicer before, the lower lip especially was fuller....  I'm not imagining this/it's not just her makeup, right?  Was it deliberate (because the after is a generally preferred shape?) or was it maybe a side-effect of the other changes?

Does anyone know how cheap certain procedures are in SK, generally?  Like everyone who gets the eyelid surgery, since it's so common. XD  Oddly, my sister (who is not korean... nor am I...) went to teach English in SK for a couple of years and did not get eyelid surgery there.  And then she came back and got it done in NYC. XD;;  But I forget how much she said it cost... a couple/few thousand USD, I guess.

Then after she debuted, she got another nose job [specifically the bridge] and something else to her eyes [injections?]. Also got her jaw line done.

 

 

Then again, she got her nose and eyes done [2010] but if you noticed, her eyes and nose were done unevenly and the ridge is kinda screwy. And whatever injections she got on her cheeks were done badly because her face has become more puffier [when her face was slimmed down from the jawline surgery]. 

 

 

Hm... but it seems like her eyes and the way her nose and mouth "interact" wasn't really even beforehand, anyway?  Especially when she's smiling.  I guess a good surgeon might correct that anyway, but everyone assumes she doesn't have one. >.>

 

B.A.P's Zelo got his eyes and nose done. His biggest insecurity [as of now] is his chin, so I wouldn't be surprised if sometime in the future, he got his jaw line fixed. 

 

I heard the thing about his chin was a joke. XD  He stopped wearing the bib, you know!

 

If he really does have a complex, I hope he doesn't bother.  I can't see what is wrong with his jawline anyway. >.>

 

I always thought SISTAR's Dasom was a natural beauty.... Thought all those accounts of netizens who said she was less than average back in high school andthat she was  a complete bitch were all lies. 

 

What can one do about a double chin, btw?  She totally has one (not that it's extremely prominent or anything) even though she is skinny as hell.

 

The only way to know for sure and have a really good proof that they did or didn't get surgery is to get an X-ray of their skull. But even some companies would use fake Xray results just to show their products are real.

Very confused... why would anyone be able to get their hands on a celebs skull xray/why would the plastic surgery clinic give out such a thing?  If they did, and they actually provided the surgery, wouldn't they lose business? >.>  If they did, and it's fake, and they didn't provide the surgery (assuming there was any surgery) wouldn't they get sued???

So Boram.... Obviously eyes, those suckers scare the crap outta me sometimes, just as much as Jiyeon's and Hara's. Jaw shave, and maybe nose? Doesn't look like she got as much as people accuse her of.

 

 

She looks like her sister, though... maybe they coordinated their PS

 

This is mostly unrelated but I always wondered what happened to Jessica's face in the early years of SNSD (The first 2 years)

 

Before debut she was super pretty even without makeup

But when she debuted she always looked tired and way older than she was at the time (I'm not denying PS but it's strange)

Baby fat, and... she probably was actually tired all the time. XD  The life of a trainee/active idol~~

Not saying she's had anything done, but how useful are those?  Isn't she already a professional dancer there?  Someone at her then-level in the industry with broader ambitions would probably have gotten a start on things.

But the before and after picture, I don't agree with. It's saying he got PS after debuting (I say couldn't happen, with that many comebacks during 2012, how did he get the time to heal?)

Yeah, srsly, in that picture he's just tired and dead-eyed.  I don't really know the healing times for these procedures, but if it's significant at all the only one who might have had the time post-debut is Himchan, and dude looks the same as always.

 

The company releases the xray skull not the clinic. 

 

(Sigh this is my third time typing and stuff and I'm kinda tired of rewriting the same thing again. I somehow keeps clicking the close button.)

 

I'll post later what I wrote. But people everyone in the show business no matter what race would get surgery because they are told to do it. No matter how they how much they hide the truth, or deny they did it.

Do you guys know about T.a.t.u? Russian duo that broke up a couple years back... Well I saw a recent performance and for a while I thought that Julia/Yulia was replaced only to find out she underwent PS and she looks..... WHY did you change your face Jules!?

Yup she's had a nose job,double eyelid surgery twice and her teeth. It honestly should be shocking but it isn't

I mostly assume Daehyun has had work done, since there's no need to put him on a pedestal, but I still don't really understand what.  His transformation is pretty striking, but at the same time they must have taken a light touch to him as well... his eyelids/eyes are still uneven, he doesn't have double eyelids, his nose is still pretty bulbous in low-makeup pictures, and his entire face very much moves.  I wonder if his nose is fillers, though, to add definition, that would explain why it's still big.

 

Also, he always tries to downplay his looks (relative to certain other members, anyway), he must not be used to it, and that could be due to more than just the idol styling. XD

 

Poor? Where did you get that from? I don't think any of the boys were considered poor pre-debut.

It was an interview; they each did an individual one and then a group one (in a magazine), it's the same series where "thug" Jongup and probably BYG's Tigger obsession first became known.  It was about them growing up... Daehyun's tagline was that his family was really really affected by the IMF so he grew up impoverished.  Though the funny thing was, Youngjae's interview was right after his (age order) and his family was also affected by the IMF, but they didn't make a big deal of it in his interview. >.>;;;;  (But Youngjae's family owns a business, so I assume his family probably was better off.)  Anyway, from that, I figure the kpopsurgery's speculation is a bit off, but who knows~~  Maybe Daehyun's family's financial situation recovered, I mean he's attending the vocal academy somehow.  Maybe he has a sponsor, lolol.

this is why I assume a nose job to just make her tip looks less flat. That is the first thing I think she did to her nose, was reduce it.

Regardless of the specifics, I think it wouldn't be weird for her to have had a lot done pre-debut (not necessarily something you were disputing, I think) as prior to being in SNSD she was in a duo in Japan.

 

I guess you are right but I think Koreans are one of the most ethnically homogeneous societies. I think it's more possible for the Chinese members because Han-Chinese are actually mixed. They have a facial and structural difference between northern Chinese and southern Chinese. I think Luhan is a good example of that, he has nice facial features (he might had a nose job but he was not the typical asian boy) My point is that some of the Korean exo members seem to have European facial features now. (when you look at their pre-debut pictures you'll notice they are the typical asian guys) 

Koreans are a tiny bit more homogenous than Japanese, but when I checked out some E-Tribe videos, I sort of felt like I was seeing more variation in their faces than in the whole of kpop. XD;;  Not that E-Tribe is only a small number of girls, but still.

Have you guys ever heard of Cindy Jackson? She is the world record holder for most cosmetic surgery and procedures and a cosmetic surgery pioneer.

Yes, skinny girls can have big breasts. It all depends on the fat distribution that you inherit. 

The way fat is distributed on your body depends on where the fat cells are. They don't move once they've developed, they just get bigger or smaller as you gain or lose weight. So if you have a lot of fat cells in your breasts, and fewer elsewhere, any time you gain weight, your breasts will grow first. And any time you lose weight, you'll lose it last from your breasts. If you had very few fat cells in your breasts, they'd always be proportionately small. But if the rest of your family has big breasts, you probably will, too. Even if you're slender overall, a lot of the fat you have may be in your breasts, so you'll be slender and busty at the same time … which is usually a good thing!

This is awesome news if I ever finally lose weight!  ... not that I would mind a breast reduction per se, but hopefully it will just scale with band size.

 

But the thing is, it's not like all Caucasians have all those features.  Caucasian eyes are totally different compared to Asian. Asian want to open up their eyes, not mirror caucasian eyes...and people just forget that many already have double eye lids.

 

PLUS, it's pretty rare to have really white skin, I think you have to be in one of those European countries or something. I'm from UKR and my skin is just plain pale. So, caucasians have differing skin color, depending on the ethnicity and are of living.

Very much this.  And if asians really wanted to "become white", they wouldn't be trying to get pale, they'd be getting tan like most celebs.  The pale white celebs are quite a minority, I'd think.

If idols do have eye bags, its usually always is the aegyo sal way

Also apparently it is possible to create the aegyo sal look with temporary stickers

Well, I have actually seen an idol with both aegyosal and dark eyebags (lower) at the same time, so I think they're actually kind of separate phenomena... theoretically it could be possible the aegyosal were taped, but I don't really think so, it's not a major selling point of this idol.

I think fillers are used to straighten the nose. Blankstare talked about fillers a while ago on page 59.

That's not what I got out of that post... seemed to mostly be about how you can tell one from the other, especially after you've done either too many times.  The one picture that seems to definitely be a nose filler vs. a rhinoplasty (or a rhinoplasty+fillers) in that post is the first, and it went from kind of a parrot beak to a ski lift.  Unless that's what you mean by "straighten" (my initial reading is that you mean it's to even out a crooked nose), but that's also what I meant by "definition", they make the nose come out more and be less flat overall.

On second thought, perhaps Daehyun did get something done to his nose.  His looks kind of like hers, like they didn't drastically change the shape/size, but did something to make the nostrils less prominent (alarplasty?)

You mean "dimples" in weird places?  If anything, I kind of feel like those are natural... botox/fillers could probably be used to reduce those, even. XD

 

Blerp, I don't think any of the males have had as much surgery as Kwanghee. 

Even so, I don't think Kwanghee is really the male analogue of Bom.  I mean, you can remake your face entirely and it can come out well, and you can still be able to make normal expressions.  I'm not sure there really is a male analogue of Bom in kpop, though.

It could just be the skin losing its elasticity. Smiling alot could cause that too. But I've also seen it with people who've had acne.

Oh... Daehyun's definitely had acne.  Maybe just all the treatments for that took a beating on his skin, though his skin has seemed alright for a while.

Someone said in this thread earlier that their friend got an implant. Either they couldn't smoosh their nose or they shouldn't. I can't remember.

Comment implied that was only an issue during the recovery/healing period.

But I think you're right when you say sometimes his eyes look big and other times they look small. None of his pre debut photos are that clear to tell, honestly.

TBH I originally assumed he had stuff done just because he looked so different, but I couldn't really pinpoint what it was, and his family is supposed to be pretty poor, or were pretty poor (but then how'd he pay for vocal academy?  Nonetheless the kpopsurgery blog person theorized he had rich parents because they assumed he had PS prior to coming to TS, which should not have been the case.  ... ok, that's all for that.)

 

Anyway, b.a.p has lots of no/low-makeup post-debut pictures, I feel like there could be material to figure things out, though I guess the issue is the quality of the predebut pics.

 

Hyorin of SISTAR did her eyes and jaw also cheekbones structure looks fishy to me … she can say what ever she wants doesn't change the fact that this shit is obvious!

Well, Daehyun's still not a popular topic I see, but the right is a very recent picture:

Ignoring his eyes, since you can hardly see them anyway, do you think it may actually be possible he hasn't had PS?  Makeup really does work miracles, and he's probably gotten a lot better at having his picture taken.  (But he still makes poofy faces like this sometimes....)

Hard to say, it looks different in every picture. Seems so though, I don't have a good eye for PS though.

It looks like makeup here, so maybe it's always makeup when her lower lip has that full shape....

The more often I see some idols the more I think it's largely makeup (contouring and eye makeup especially) and the other PS--photoshop for formal shoots.  Actually, for b.a.p in particular I think there just aren't enough good-quality pre-debut pics to form a good judgment on.

 

I think ppl like to claim the sunglasses pic is already post-PS, but he still looks like that and from other angles like his even earlier pre-debut pics, so....

Several i-netz (including myself), have always suspected that suzy got a nose job. Specifically, she got the tip of her nose refined because her bridge doesn't look all that different from pre-debut. Her eyes look different to me too but I'm not sure if she's gotten anything done in that area since she's always had double eyelids and is naturally very wide-eyed. 

But that wouldn't be something noticed recently....

That dimple is tufted like a cushion... I took the claim that he'd had it enhanced with a grain of salt until this picture (unless it's terrible photoshop or something. XD )

^ i'm not too sure either. yes there is a difference now and then but if she had her jaw shave wouldn't that make her chin more dominant ? sometimes i can still see her chin now and she looks similar to debut time. are shaving jaw is irreversible?

Isn't the nose probably a filler?  Like Ren's.  So I guess it might revert eventually, unless he's diligent.
