Article: 'Dispatch' journalist, "IU and Jang Giha were very careful with their meet ups"

Source: OSEN via Nate

1. [+1,022, -172] She's the one who "carefully" hid their relationship for two years so it's laughable how she wrote in her letter that she deliberated over how to reveal her relationship to her fans ã…‹ã…‹

2. [+861, -210] Careful? They weren't careful, made it really obvious on SNS and even went to watch him perform often ã…‹ both of them recommended songs to each other often too ã…Žã…Ž she's such a sly fox with the way she tried to say she 'tried' to reveal it to the public when she's the one who hid it for two years.

3. [+763, -204] Poor Eunhyuk became the butt of jokes in all of this. I hope these two are happy and last until the end... Scared that IU's image is going to get weird if she ends up in a scandal with someone else again.

4. [+149, -30] She's such a fox, a fox on fire... Fools the public with her innocent face and cosplays as the nation's little sister but goes around hitting on men just like in the Eunhyuk scandal and behind everyone's backs. She said on 'Go Show' that she'd backstab everyone for sure and this is what she was talking about, huh

5. [+118, -34] I wonder how she feels entering a relationship so soon after ruining another person's life...?

6. [+115, -23] She's such a lying fox. Lied saying she tried to tell her fans first but the journalists got to it first but really she's just been hiding it for the past two years.

7. [+110, -27] Sly to the bone ã…‹ã…‹

8. [+108, -19] Yeah IU, you really deliberated for two years, huh? ã…‹ã…‹ More sad of an excuse than visiting the sick ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

9. [+97, -19] Sly to the bone, this Lee Jieun. Always fooling fans with her "I don't know anything" concept. Her fans are honestly fools to believe her.

10. [+93, -10] So IU "deliberated" for the past two years then? Not even two months but two years ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ meanwhile her fans are busy defending her saying she wrote a thoughtful letter ã…‹ã…‹ I hope this pops her bubble a bit. She's a fox with more than 9 tails.

11. [+88, -8] Amazing that she started dating him right after that Twitter scandal

12. [+81, -11] She's too sly... I can already hear the gears turning in her head when she's so young. She's so good at cosplaying as the victim all the time. Must be tiring for her to fake her nice act so often.

13. [+67, -6] "I was deliberating over how to deliver this news to you in a more positive way but Dispatch beat me to the punch." Is this a joke? For someone who was worried about how to deliver the news, why would she be going in and out of his house so often that his entire apartment knew about it? And she still hid it fully knowing that rumors were going around. And she still wants us to believe that she was trying hard to tell her fans? She's always acting like she's so nice and caring with her words but you can already tell the gears are turning in her head.

14. [+62, -6] I'm sure she was so careful, so careful that everyone in the apartment knew she was around ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

15. [+60, -8] She might be a good musician but first her bed scandal and now dating a man 12 years older... she's not your average girl.

It's only on Nate & Pann where salty young fangirls roam free, everywhere else like Naver etc. there were positive comments with thousands and thousands of upvotes.
But of course NB only translates the negative articles at this point, because they bring more clicks=money; she's clearly milking it at this point.
I just wish international K-Pop fans would employ a bit more critical thinking when it comes to NB and her choice of articles instead of thinking what they read on that site is the Korean zeitgeist/public opinion. More often than not, it clearly isn't. Heck, she even writes on her own site that she only translates the controversial comments, because controversy=clicks=money.

Edited for clarity, because I don't English very well. ;)

The sad thing is that NB has a very large audience, which makes the articles she decides to translate seem that much more important for the international fandom. I respect her hustle, but the people who follow her site should know better.

I don't really see the contradiction between IU hiding her r/s for some time and saying she was planning on making it public (idk if she actually said that, just going by the comments). Like, maybe she realized, after being careful for a while (because it's obviously not a good idea to go voluntarily public soon in a relationship), that she wanted to announce it to her fans or something.

I don't think int'l k-pop fans should be critical of NB when they have themselves to blame for being gullible.

After all, as you correctly pointed out, NB did have that disclaimer about her translating only the 'controversial comments'.

Anyway, I thought IU's post was very well worded, plus extra credit for releasing it before her company comes out with their statement.  Those haters can hate all they want, it won't change a damn thing.  Be happy for IU!  :chu:

Yea, what I meant was that they should employ more critical thinking when they are on that website and not just take everything they read on there as fact, but what with English being my second language and me running on about 4 hours of sleep, I did not express myself very well. :)
