We discovered it accidentally one day lol~~ But yes I love that I can watch some fashion shows, J-Melo, and other shows that introduce Japan and their culture! I never wake up in time to watch the morning news tho haha.

The performance was amazing! The song grows more on me every time there's a new live performance

 

 

That was great. Usually you don't hear much of the bass in these recordings. This pretty raw take was nice for a change.

 

And it's also good that they didn't cut the song to just 2 minutes...

The artists performing at this year’s SUMMER SONIC 2013 have just been released, and SCANDAL will be part of the impressive line-up! Summer Sonic is an annual music festival held in Japan, and is one of the biggest around, boasting not just Japanese artists but Western artists as well.

To happen simultaneously on 10 & 11 August, SCANDAL will be performing live at both the Tokyo and Osaka shows.

Island, METALLICA and more.General tickets for the event will begin on 25 May @ 10AM (JST) onwards. Persons under the age of 18 may not enter. The organizers are currently also determining how to handle tickets for overseas goers outside of Japan.

Awww  :sad: They have it air at some random time at night and they usually replay it in the morning. Maybe they'll get the girls on again sometimes!  ​

 

It's a nice show and they always invite a lot of artists on the show to perform and interview. The PD must love Morning Musume since there are always members doing some special segments on it lol.

^  I don't follow NHK so much, I only keep one eye on Music Japan, that's why I don't know much about other shows. The thing is, I don't stan many Japanese artists, only Scandal and Perfume (and sometimes the cute girls from NMB48 and AKB48 lol)

The girls get to talk about a whole bunch of things, including how they started out, who’s the most fashionable, and things they wish to break out of.

How SCANDAL came about: “Everyone’s all born in different places, but we all got to know each other in a dance & vocal school in Osaka. The staff suggested us to pick up instruments, so to start off, I (Haruna), Tomomi, and Mami all started with the guitar. But then Tomomi said she hated the guitar because it has 6 strings…and thinks that that the bass is easier because it has 2 strings less. Then Rina came in the picture…and picked up drums because we lacked a drummer (LOL).â€
 
Rina being SCANDAL’s drummer: “Not thinking much of the drums at first because I (Rina) didn’t even know the instrument, I’d started off with getting to know where the (drum) sticks are sold and went from there on. The way I practiced (at the beginning) is by playing on old books or pillows.â€
 
The band’s fashion: “We really do think about the way of how our clothes should co-ordinate.†(Then the band is asked to point out who’s the fashion leader of the group and altho they refused, they were asked to it anw. Everyone’s answers were different. XD)
 
Something I want to improve: HARUNA: “To not be so shy.†(Terry Ito butts in that is it ‘cause she wants a boyfriend and everyone else is like ‘you’re not listening’ LOL.) “On a whole as a band, we’re pretty shy. We’re even like that during release events or such. It’ll be great if we can be better friends with all kinds of other bands.â€
 
Something I want to improve: RINA: “I’m really bad at mixing around. I’m that sort that returns to my hotel, watches TV then sleep straightaway. I want to make friends even when I’m at drinking parties.â€
 
Something I want to improve: MAMI: “I want to like traveling. Although I’ll like to tour and I’ll like to do it again, all I do is say but yet I’m bad at traveling.†(Mami did mention elsewhere before in an interview that she tires of a place or of its weather easily.)
 
Something I want to improve: TOMOMI: “Since junior high, I eat a piece of ice each day. Recently, I’ve been sleeping really late because there are just so many things to be done, then I’ll just forget about eating a piece of ice. But then right before I sleep, I’ll remember all of sudden about needing to eat it no matter what, and after I do, somehow recently my stomach has became really bad…So I want to not eat at night(?)†(<- Timo can’t make up her mind about to eat or not to eat.)SCANDAL also confirms their attendance at an live event to take place on either the 6th or 13th September. It will be in an livehouse somewhere in Central Tokyo.

After fellow drummers Shishido Kavka and 7!!’s Maiko falls out of the competition, Rina advances on to face idol group LinQ’s Takaki Yuumi. Drumming to Perfume’s “Chocolate Discoâ€, Rina gets a full combo with no misses, moving on to the final round against SEKAI NO OWARI’s pianist, Saori. Drumming to a high-level song that is Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s “Fashion Monsterâ€, Rina pulls it off with only 4 misses and a combo of 360, winning the competition by being the celebrity to grace the Taiko challenge, and ending up with the highest score in the programme’s history. Haruna comments that, “It’s the first time we’re seeing such scores. Even when she’s practicing, it’s never this high.â€
