With Bom's scandal and how terribly YG handled it I don't think they have rivals anymore, I'm pretty sure if they came back they'd be screwed because knetz would shred Bom (and consequently 2ne1) apart. So no I don't think SNSD is their rival. I don't think they're at a time in their career to have rivals anymore. Both 2ne1 and SNSD have reached their peeks and while SNSD seems to have maintained their position, 2ne1 has definitely declined.

Nope. 2ne1 sweeps digitals and has a large fanbase but the group is not on the same footing as SNSD. 2ne1 is a huge success on its own, but you have to be on the same level for you to be able to rival someone else.

 

If any, I would say that SNSD is one of the things cockblocking 2ne1 from being the #1 girl group. The other thing is YG.
