Do you think Twice's visuals are just cheerleader effect? (That they're only pretty as a group?)

Cheerleader effect

It's when you see a group of girls or guys and they look hot, but when you see each person individually they are NOT, that an effect, when they are in groups they look hot.

Do you think people talk about their visuals only when they're in a group? Individually, they're kind of average (not ugly! don't get me wrong)

 

I feel like they're being so hyped as this visual group, so I took a look at all the members individually, and idk

 

I am not being rude or biased, I don't hate them, but I'm not a stan either

 

I think if I had to give Twice a visual ratio, it would be 3/9

They're all charming-looking. They might not necessarily be pretty to everyone single person's eye, I guess, but I personally find them all pretty to look at. Some of them just look better in motion.

It happened to most of the groups in KPop. If people want to know, why there are visual and center position, it is because of this cheerleader effect. It attracts people to the group and the personality for each members will conform the beauty of all members. This happened to my favorite groups too.

No, most got praised in their individual teasers for Sixteen for their looks. and most were more seen as "individuals" before being looked at as a group

You need to watch Sixteen and the individual teasers they had before the program aired. 
They were evaluated on looks and talents individually since day one, so I highly doubt it's the cheerleader effect working here

Personally I don't find all 9 that pretty. Some are more beautiful than others but even who I consider the least pretty is still better looking than some idols.  Plus, I think being PS-free (or at least having minimun to none about it 'cause some people argue that one member had it) helps the group's charm go up for the public.

I think some are definitley pretty individually like Mina, Nayeon, Sana, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu. But I can't really say the same for the others

Let's be real I don't even like them that much and I will admit they have the best visuals of any girl group right now.

Atleast 6 of them are super pretty/sexy type, the other 3 are cute and at average atleast.
