Hi y'all.

1. I want to say: The Grand Budapest Hotel begins in the present, currently annexed, Republic of Zubrowka.

My prof had a problem with the 'anexó República de Zubrowka" part.

She recomended that I clarify 'anexo' and add 'a la' in front of 'Republic of Zubrowka'.

2. I want to say: It is a cold winters day.

I wrote: Es un día inviernos frío.

Is  "Es un día de inviernos frío." right?

3. I want to say: It is definitely a film that gives a toast to the finer elements of cinema.

I wrote:

Whats the problem???

4. I want to say: The film is very peculiar and is filled with rapid-fire wit

She had a probelm with the 'fuego rápido ingenio' part.

1.

Shouldn't it be "actualmente anexado"? The "a la" part shouldn't be there based on my understanding of the sentence (that is that the republic is currently annexed into another country).

2. "Es un día frío de invierno"

3 and 4 are too difficult for me

2. Es un frío día invierno.

3. I have no idea of what's wrong, I think it's about the translation of toast

1. "Actualmente anexado"

2. "Es un día de invierno frío/ es un frío día de invierno"<-- this is more accurate

3. Idk what the problem is

4. The translation for rapid-fire to spanish sounds weird.... Maybe just replace is with the word trepidante. "Está llena de ingenio trepidante"

-El Gran Hotel Budapest comienza en la presente, actualmente anexada, República de Zubrowka.

I don't understand that part 'in the present' but whatever. It can't be el República btw.

-Es un día de invierno frío.

3- del cine

4- I don't even know how to translate rapid fire wit  :imstupid:

Edit: your homework is so weird :wth:

the first one I believe the accent is wrong and I would say "actualmente anexada" because you are talking about the republic.

And I would change the "el presente" to "la presente" for the same reason

So it would be more like

You don't add the "a la" because nothing was annexed to Zubrowka republic.

The 3rd one I don't know how to explain but is not "de cine" but "del cine"

About the 4th one

Fuego-rápido infierno doesn't make sense in spanish, is not an expresion used in spanish.
