Have you noticed this about SNSD music videos?

It's hard to explain. The members always look unreal... like CGI models or something. Like photoshop for videos. Their skin is super smooth and flat and vibrant and the super sparkly eyes and stuff.

it's particularly bad in Oh! (Japanese Ver.), I don't watch it because it kinda creeps me out

SM's younger groups aren't like this, Super Junior and TVXQ kinda get it as well but it's still not as bad as SNSD's videos (except TVXQ's Something, I'd probably put that on Oh!'s level). I hope at least one person gets what I'm talking about lol.

I think I know what you are talking about, like you can compare how they look like when "the paint" is off. That's why I don't stan them in the first place. I haven't even watched the videos, but I get that strong feel from them, in particular.

isn't that happening for most of kpop artists? it's the make up and the light

most of kpop videos are like that

No... It's more extreme than other kpop artists. See Seohyun's closeup in Twinkle at 2:20, or TaeNy closeups 2:10-2:15

In Oh!, the locker room closeups (like Hyoyeon 2:12)

I know what you're talking about, and I think it's been overused by SM recently.

The sparkly eyes are usually from the lighting that's behind the camera, and in Taeyeon's case, that's combined with the coloured lenses. The flat, smoothed out skin is using different filters in the post-production (like denoise for example).

I don't know as much about video editing as I do about photoshop, but it looks like you've sharpened and used the burn tool on the eyes while you surface blur their skin to create that effect (I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense lmao)
