Do you think before you speak?

Most times I do, but it depends on the situation. I try to be pretty rational in the way that I handle things and express my thoughts, but I've had my moments where I've failed to do that.

Saying whatever comes to your mind without thinking, is a sign of immaturity, and not something to boast about.

Edit: I'm reminded of something I once read in Reader's Digest, which made an impression on me:

Before speaking, ask yourself these 3 questions: (1) Is it true? (2) Is it necessary? (3) Is it kind?

Yes I do, although there are times when I only do it half meaning I know what I want to say, but I haven't bothered to put it in a properly formulated sentence, which generally leads to a mess.

If i'm speaking to friends/people I'm comfortable with, I just go with whatever comes to mind because I like to think even if it is something slightly off-the-wall crazy they won't judge me or anything for it. If it's not for someone like that, I tend to overthink what I say and say very little/nothing.

Yes. In fact, I think so much that I eventually come to the conclusion that what I'm about to say is stupid, even if it isn't, and wind up never speaking.

I'm like this too.  I've been trying to be more confident with what I have to say and volunteering my thoughts more freely.  Definitely helps to have people (like classmates/professors) affirm your thoughts.

I tend to over think which causes me not to speak at all, or if I do it comes out in a jumbled mess. Things change when I'm angry though.

Yes, sometimes too much.

All of this.
