You can do so much more with the new Notes app. I like the better battery life, better iCloud integration, the new Notes app and enhanced security. It also should run better than iOS 8 for most devices. I just switched from android (note 3 and briefly used an S5) and while there are some things I miss about android (the customization and multitasking) I do have to say that in my experience iOS is the superior operating system when it comes to smoothness and performance.
