Red Velvet: followed SRG14 and realised Seulgi, Irene and Wendy were being put into a group, so I followed them until their debut but lost a little bit of interest after Be Natural, only becoming a major stan in the ICC era. f(x): Watched Nu Abo and instantly fell in love with them. I have more where that came from because I have like 15 bias groups, but now it's to you! Who are your bias groups and how did you find out about them? rich witch 20,592 Posted October 4, 2015 Share Posted October 4, 2015 shinee: before getting into shinee in mid-early 2009 I was in another fandom (non-kpop) but it started dying, and two friends of mine from that fandom were into k-pop as well and introduced me to shinee and I've been into them ever since. the rest (fx, rv, sistar and nine muses) just grew on me while being interested in k-pop. But then, I watched YouTubers react to Kpop and I thought SNSD and SHINee sounded cool, so I looked them up and that's how my Kpop obsession started. Mamamoo: I heard from maybe some kpop sites/forums that Mamamoo was good but didn't check them out until AH OOP came out. Also someone linked some MoonSun moment and I was hooked. I used to be a SONE so I might as well explain how I found out about SNSD. My friends showed me Gee in like 2009/2010 and I thought they were weird lol and I was all smh. But probably around 2011 I was watching TV and stumbled upon Mnet who were playing kpop vids back to back. I heard IU's Good Day which I liked but I didn't know that was IU lol. At the same time I found out SM new boygroup finally debut. Check out but didn't impress me (though I was crazy over M version of What is Love). 1 year later my friend who stan another boygroup suddenly reblog Luhan out of no where -> feel bad for all the hate they receive and stay casual since I like Growl and What is Love. 1 day while I watch Masterchef I somehow got interest in EXO again and ended up being curious about the appeal of D.O. As I tried to find out the appeal of D.O., I ended up becoming a huge fan of him and the group. April I check out their Dream Candy as a normal Kpop fan. The mv reminds me of the times where I used to stan Kara (but I left the fandom when I quit Kpop). Jinsol looks gorgeous and I love her voice. I didn't like it at first but grew to love the song and Ladies' Code. Them and SNSD were the first two K-Pop groups I ever knew about. Then in 2009 Kpop videos are suddenly shown..Gee didn't really caught my attention, I really liked Genie(fave) and OH though coz legs its so catchy....and Korean girls are so pretty af..2009-2012 is the time I listen to kpop, I wasnt a fan just a listener...during the time i wasn't listening anymore I always see my gay classmate watching kpop on his laptop, I saw SNSD the boys there and IGAB...I know it's snsd coz i recognized yoona and sunny's face Then I got into RM bec of PBY, then I came across Taeyeon's guesting at EP 112....so pretty and cute af...then I discovered her ballad songs, I loved it so much and became obsessed. Heard about a group called TVXQ in early 2006. Saw their music videos and become their fan. Heard about a group called Super Junior making a comeback in mid-2006 and listen to their comeback song, U. Boys over flowers was pretty popular in my country back then so I checked out the OST again last year and decided to stan them. BTS - I searched for idols who are the same age as me.
