ArticleIdol stars with enlistment on the horizon... learn from Super Junior

Source: Star News via Naver

1. [+4,197, -63] Over half of the members have served... but there are still more left ã… ã…

2. [+3,482, -429] For all of the scandals they commit, they're a group that at least serves on time... I've been seeing Kangin around a lot lately too and it seems he's gotten a lot witter with his words ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Choi Shiwon's acting is pretty good too. Hopefully SuJu as a group does well after all of them finish their services.

3. [+2,741, -212] There's not really much to learn when serving is a duty and you don't have a choice in it. I don't want to go ã…‹ã…‹

4. [+1,987, -186] Good things should be learned... just serving in the army makes you a good person.

5. [+432, -9] What the article is saying idols should learn from is not their enlistment but the fact that Super Junior isn't afraid of the hiatus and promote actively leading up to and after their service because they trust their fans to be there for them when they come back. I have a friend who's a SuJu fan and she's been waiting for them in the army for 5 years... loyal to the promoting members and sometimes writes letters to the members serving.

6. [+405, -17] They have 4 in active duty, 2 in police, and 2 in public service so why do some comments make it sound like they have a ton in public service and not many in active duty ã…‹ã…‹ and the ones who did do public service like Heechul was exempt because he has a huge metal rod in his leg and Yesung had a kidney stone.

7. [+387, -22] It's really hard to manage the timing for service rotations. SuJu has been pulling it off well.

8. [+374, -18] There are tons of groups who are putting it off so why rag on SuJu? All of them aer serving, that's deserving of some good comments. Didn't they also have a huge car accident before too? But none of them are avoiding it or putting it off and are all serving. Hopefully this group lasts long...

During SJ's promotions in the last few years, some members would always be missing, changing the group's dynamics and a bit of the sound too, yet it is always interesting and great to be there, because the rest of the members would always make sure to fill up the empty spot and prepare fans for the member's returns and leavings.

A lot of interesting subunits were also made and suceeded to make their own name and fans. So no matter what happens, ELF will always be there for the amount of effort and love the members are able to give them. :ahmagah:

After EunHaeWon the ones left are Ryeowook and Kyuhyun, right?

I know he's out of SJ but is Kibum gonna serve too or is he considered American coz I read once that he has that citizenship and dunno if it's true or not

Anyway, it's great to see positive comments and it's true that the two members who served public service had valid reasons.

ELFs must be one of the most patient and resilent kpop fandoms.....

"What the article is saying idols should learn from is not their enlistment but the fact that Super Junior isn't afraid of the hiatus and promote actively leading up to and after their service because they trust their fans to be there for them when they come back"

Not every kpop group can afford a reputation like they previously had before a hiatus, so that comment made me "awwww"
