im sure that you already know Yeon hee's fate...she died... :rlytearpls:

we know that from TWDR...The best swordman lost the woman he loved...could not protect her...about BY...she already decided...she chose herself and her people...i hope she won't change her mind...JDJ and BW WAR BECAME PERSONAL...Is not about ideology anymore...

I more or less expected it. She is arguably Sambong's right hand. With her position, BW is not going to let her live D:

Sambong : What brought us here like this?

Bang-Won : I don't know either what brought us here like this.

-- August, 26

Bang-Won : I mean, if the day comes, you should make a good decision.

Boon-Yi : When is the day?

--- The day of the final battle

Bang-Won : Tonight, we shall attack Sambong.

-- It will start.

Bang-Won : The success of our revolt depends on... Jeong Do-Jeon, Nam Eun, and Shim Hyo-Saeng, whether those 3 can be killed in the early stage. Second, it's Yi Bang-Ji. We have to lure Yi Bang-Ji to increase the chance of success. Third, we must secretly take out weapons hidden in Banchon.

Bang-Won : Now, it begins. Let's attack Sambong.

Moo-Hyul : This is the letter from Lord Ha Ryun.

Ha Ryun (letter) : "There is only one way. You already know the royal tomb of the Queen is within the capital, don't you? Each local official in Gyeonggi province is building the tomb by turns. Naturally, Yi Sook-Beon, the Ansan governor, is included as one of them, too. In other words, it means, the day when Yi Sool-Beon's turn comes round, we can legitimately mobilize his 500 soldiers into the capital."

Bang-Won : Moo-Hyul, go to Ansan governor Yi Sook-Beon immediately and finds out the date when he comes to the royal tomb of the Queen.

Moo-Hyul : Yes.

Bang-Won : (thinking) The date of the departure on the Liaodong expedition, the date of Yi Sook-Beon's turn, which will be earlier?

Bang-Won is speaking at the meeting table with Moo-Hyul, Master Hong, Monk Jeok-Ryong, Jo Mal-Saeng, and two new faces.

Bang-Won : The success of our revolt depends on... Jeong Do-Jeon, Nam Eun, and Shim Hyo-Saeng, whether those 3 can be killed in the early stage. Second, it's Yi Bang-Ji. We have to lure Yi Bang-Ji out to increase the chance of success. Third, we must secretly take out weapons hidden in Banchon.

Moo-Hyul : I and my master will handle it.

Master Hong : Yes, we will.

Bang-Won : If you fail to take out the weapons, we will be done even before we start it.

Moo-Hyul : I know. Your Highness, don't worry about that.

Bang-Won : From now on, until the day before we revolt, do nothing and wait hanging loose, as silently as death.

im sad to see this couple faith..  SO SADDDD  :rlytearpls:  :horror:  :horror:

i would love to point out my review here...

The fangirl-side in me wants BW to win, without dirtying his hands with his enemy's blood. But, it seems that this show has been showing us  the fact that the history always wins , and the writer's previous work could warn me much of how this show will be ended.

I honestly was so relieved that the reason behind BW's decision to attack JDJ wasn't caused by his personal matter (although I hope he isn't going to finish JDJ... I never hate that guy T.T). I mean, when it comes to people who are loyal to him, he is very upfront and shows loyalty to them as well. With the private army abolition, he is 'powerless'. Then,  Yong-gyu's death triggers him to gain the power he needs in order to protect his people (or to do another stuffs, you know... something like taking the throne and ruling the country with his own style ha!). Lee Bang-won be like 'I don't have any option. I don't know what to do. Let's just kill them all !' when he's cornered by others.

That said, I do not agree with the way he thinks he can overcome his ultimate obstacles only by killing. His 12 years old self was shaped by terrible circumstances. There's nobody helped him to tell what's the right thing to do, so he ended up murdering the three scholars, and concluded everything by himself. Yet he referenced his 12 y.o action as his underlying justification to end his "enemy's" life in the present. If we see his situations before the awful murdering happened, yes, it seems that there's no other options. but...I keep thinking some other alternatives that could happen (IF the writer didn't intend to follow closely to the history).

Anyway, in my opinion, last week episodes were weak and the pace was too slow. But, Ep.45  was so awesome. I got the SFD's old vibe. The combination of good acting, directing, writing, and good music made ep.45 felt like a movie! I adore Lady Min, Yong-gyu, and even Ha-ryun with their determination to support BW.  At this point, the nameless seems only helps him with information since BW  loses BY's group, and that is the joseon team who actualize his follow ups plan.  On other side, It felt awkward seeing YH and BJ walking together, well, it was probably awkward for them too. The scene when BW cried was heart-wrenching. YG is lucky, his master did see him as hyung, not merely a bodyguard.

Ahh...Let's see how tonight's episode will be... :wut:

During EP.46, I feel bad for everyone.   I think in the end even when BW succeeds in all of his plan, he'll lose BY.  Just like BJ who seems to be happy and looking toward his future.  It will be taken in just one moment. :rlytearpls:

I am honestly ready for Sambong to die. I dont know if it was the writers doing a great job but I havent liked him for a while now. I was always afraid of really disliking LBW near the end of this drama since his character was pretty unlikable in Tree with Deep Roots. However, after Poeun I ended up disliking Sambong and rooting for LBW  :derp:

Anyway Isn't ths a clear picture of who Team BangWon and Team Sambong i

CdCuMACUEAAuIYC.jpg:large

BoonYi, from the day YBW stamped YSG's seal on the Boarder Stabilization plan BoonYi has choosen YBW and now just like that day she will choose YBW.

It's just sad that BoonYi and BangJi are not on the same team.

This also shows the difference between BoonYi and BanJi

A kids BoonYi has always been courageous, fierce an street smart while DangSsea is timid, shy and sweet

Although DangSsae has become BanJi, he will always be DangSsea the sweet natured kid who would rather settle things peaceably that engage in a fight.

Their choices really shows who they are, but their reaction to the consequences of their choices is yet to be revealed. We know what will happen to BanJi, I'm going to wait for BoonYi MooHyul and YoonHee  :rlytearpls:

I actually have love-hate r/ship this drama! (In other words, I love it)

Yeon Hee started to become annoying in the past episodes possibly because our teams started to form and I just wished her dead soon. However, with that scene in episode 46, I don't know anymore. It's just that at the end of the day, everyone's just trying to survive. Everyone just wants to protect the people they love and their principles.

We basically all have dreams and they're not so much different from each other. It all boils down to having a happy life surrounded by the people we love. But then people end up fighting and killing each other. There are wars. It's so frustrating.

Even though the last episode was mostly clandestine scheming from both sides it still evoked so much sadness. The episode made me cry as it bodes an ominous ending of friendship and togetherness of the once carefree revolutionary comrades. I love how the more eerie parts of the episode are shot in shadows and the actors really played their roles excellently, so are the writers for their storytelling and the directors for creating the fitting setting and scenery.

I love the shot when BW hugged his lady wife and we see only his profile and his eyes staring. A dangerous animal waiting to pounce on his prey. Another scene which I found so cynical  and somehow twisted was when the BW team assembled in the temple to honor YG, a place of peace and meditation. He had his hands together in prayer pose and the incense smoke wafting in front of his face and contemplating on ridding of JDJ and his people. The look of acknowledgement between MH and BJ, No words have to be said. They both know who they serve and they are warriors whose duty is the guard their charges. The meeting of BW and BY. Somehow everytime they meet, it feels so incomplete. All these dragons splitting..... tears will flow. :rlytearpls:

[HanCinema's Drama Review] "Six Flying Dragons" Episode 46

photo699465.jpg

The characters in "Six Flying Dragons" are counting down the days. Bang-won's opportunities to even so much as talk to fellow sympathizers in the government are severely limited, so dates for possible conspiracy have to be fixed and adhered to on a strict schedule. These dates are historical ones, the likes of which can be found in textbooks. That much explains why "Six Flying Dragons" is being specific with the timescale now when normally the exact timing of certain dramatic events has until now been left intentionally vague.

Most of "Six Flying Dragons" has been, technically speaking, a slow burn to finally get to these important events. Oddly enough, the way this episode stalls for time and has its characters wait doesn't inspire much impatience. Bang-won appreciates that his decisions here are momentous, and is giving himself and his allies time to back down. That their resolve never wavers for a moment is proof positive that they're all on the right path.

Truthfully, it's difficult to argue with that at this point. Seong-gye has, as of late, simply been obeying Do-jeon without question, as if Do-jeon was the actual King of Joseon. Most tellingly, the main place whee Seong-gye broke rank was on the issue of putting Do-jeon in possible danger. It's quite obvious to everyone except Seong-gye and Do-jeon that Do-jeon possesses virtually all of the power in Joseon, and that has to end in order for any meaningful progression to be broached.

When even Muhyul helplessly agrees that decisive action, however less than ideal, is necessary to bring a sense of order to the increasingly chaotic Joseon, that's when we know there's a real problem. Boon-yi has pretty good scenes of ambivalence here, too. Muhyul and Boon-yi have lately been functioning less as actual characters and more like barometers to gauge the extent to which Do-jeon or Bang-won can hold the moral high ground. That Boon-yi has not been acting decisively for the sake of Do-jeon is perhaps the most troubling indictment of his government possible.

Well, aside from the more obvious problems anyway. Like Seong-gye getting old and lacking the physical fortitude he once used to. Or for that matter, how the emergency plan for Seong-gye's untimely death is simply to expect the younger princelings to get good advice from their older, better established, more obviously competent adult brothers. Whatever Bang-won's motives are, somebody has to stand up to Do-jeon. It's just a shame it had to be the one guy who has the fewest ethical qualms with murder.

Six Flying Dragons: Episode 45 by Dramabeans

Bang-won comes to a terrible realization this hour, one that even he doesn’t know he’s come to until it all but tears at his heartstrings—and ours, for that matter. The wheels of change keep turning as we prepare to head into the much deeper and darker waters of history, and somehow I get the feeling that this episode is just a taste of what’s to come.

The show may be ready, but are we?

I feel so odd about JDJ's inevitable death now that we're this close. I'm sure it'll be bittersweet and brilliantly executed but a part of me wishes that BW's party & JDJ's party would've briefly been on the same side once again in the war and then settled things after that but of course that's not how it happened in history.

Dramabeans: Six Flying Dragons: Episode 46

It’s on now! Or to be more precise, it better be on next week, since this week was spent telling us just how on it’s going to be when we eventually get there. Time seems too short for placeholder episodes like this, though we can at least be grateful for the touching character moments interspersed within. The closer everyone gets though, the more foreboding it all starts to feel, effectively pitting our emotions against our better judgment when it comes to falling back in love with characters we may have temporarily dismissed. There’ll undoubtedly be some tough choices ahead—but for now, at least, we wait.
