How do 700+ people die just from a stampede? such things do always happen, many people go on one batch like millions whereas the region/area doesn't usually contain that much people, some people got scared and idk and some starting fleeing/running and yeah a bunch passed away .. it only takes falling to the ground to die there, they will walk on you and smash you, some others died because of the temperature after they got injured. the AlHaramayn servant must find a solution for this shit it's getting worse each year...
