The comedy took in a record-breaking USD $106 Million in its first three days of screening in China alone. The film took in USD $32.94 million on opening day, making it the highest single day gross for a Chinese film, beating out the previously popular film "Monster Hunt." The film also sets records for widest release and highest presale record.

The slapstick film stars Xu Zheng, Zhao Wei, and Bao Bei'er.

On the contrary, Liu Yifei's "The Third Way of Love" only brought in $5 million in its first two days.

Congrats, but my impression of the Chinese box office has really been tarnished ever since it was leaked that China have been inflating the box office numbers for home-grown films.

There was the case of deflated Hollywood sales numbers (about 10%) due to skimming by individual cinemas, which subsequently propped up homegrown numbers, but there was a major crackdown last year and now it's a uniform reporting system instead of a dual-system reporting system some where using. The numbers are now considered legit by Hollywood insiders.
