Do you think You Think would have been more successful if it was the only title track?

I don't understand Korean people's taste for preferring LH to YT, but let's not talk about that here.

Do you think YT would have won on music shows if SNSD didn't release double title track and then LH ended up being the only song that they promoted?

 

It's sad how YT is such a bop and it was the track that everyone looked forward to the most but then it ended up to be a "flop"

It would have done well as a repack I think. Double titles never really do well unless the idols are Big Bang, but even then people are always going to prefer one song over another. It's just better to have fans pay attention to one song/video at a time.

Most people and fans predicted it wasn't going to do well with the public or the charts and they were pretty fine with it as long as Lion Heart didn't do the same. I feel that You Think was more of an act of fan service than anything else.

I don't think so.  It might have done a little bit better chart wise.  But I think the hype would have died down soon enough.  When you get past the "YASSS!!! SLAY THAT CHOREO!!! YES SEXY!!!", the song itself is okay at best.  The chorus is bad, especially with the screeching adlibs.  The reason LH was able to resurge back up the charts was because the hype for IC and SMTM slowed down, and people actually noticed how good LH was.  Concept-wise, it was a great mix of cute, yet mature and a bit sexy/alluring.

Point a few out please. I agree that it has less replay value than LH

- MV: The bright colored scenes were unnecessary and overwhelimg. The saturation levels were too high and it came off as tacky.

- MV: Members were slacking off on some of the moves in the choreo.

- MV: Seohyun's split thing looked forced and cringeworthy.

- Song: SooHyo rap was terrible. I'm not sure why they thought that the contrast between Sooyoung's high pitched, nasally voice and Hyoyeon's deep, raspy voice was a good idea. Even if they replaced Soo with Yuri it still probably would have sounded bad + Hyo always ends her raps awkwardly

- Song: The song was a screechfest. Tiffany was actually toned down a bit but Seohyun nasality stood out a lot and she sounded weird half the time. My ears hurt every time I listen to the chorus with the "YOU'RE NOT!!!!" blaring in my ears.

- Song: Sunny's autotune and high notes during the bridge. Let me not...

- Song: The weird gaps in the song that they used to stretch the time of the song.

 

Ultimately, Taeyeon saved the song and Lion Heart/Party completely blow it out of the water. :/

Yes indeed!

it was a really stupid Idea to make it double tittle track but promote it just a little. 

As a repackage it would be a hit because eveything will be focused on that song and that big change of Lion Heart to You Think.

SM made a bad choice this time

 

 

People need to stop saying koreans just like cute SNSD and that bullshit 

The Boys and even Run Devil Run did amazing and they aren't cute at all.
