ethereal 20,923
So that JYPE's schedule doesn't get all messed up and the second gg with Somi in it doesn't get pushed back too far!!! Like, what are you doing, JYPE? I thought Twice was coming in September!!! Get it together! I mean, no offense or anything but Got7's comeback could have been put on hold for one second to let Twice out already. It's taking too long! I miss Somi so much tbh kpop's baby savior needs to debut asap! edit: wtf, why am I getting negged.....

It seems that many of JYP's trainees left the company and became popular kpop idols in other companies. JYP: All of them are someone's family. I know some of kpop agencies have a contract clause that their trainees can't go to other companies. I want to tell the agencies' representatives that they need to regard the trainees as their own children. People are getting hard-hearted. If our trainees go to other company and become popular, it's a matter for congratulation. Q. You always say that you want to make a right company. JYP: One of the problems of Korean society is that powerful people always use their superpowers in the wrong way. For the last few years, I've met many powerful people in the world of kpop because I wanted to make fair music chart shows and awards ceremonies. However, I felt despair. It was like banging my head against a brick wall. Instead, I tried to raise our trainees properly and told them to get upper-middling grades at their schools. And I prohibited our artists from visiting hostess bar. Cr. http://www.kpopbehin...g-he-knows.html infact JYP helped alot of them find a new home

ozaira 173
Anyone who actually thinks JYP will debut another girl group after Twice a mere two years after is.. well not considering the past and logic. The time difference between the debut of missA and Twice is looking to be at least 5 years. Looking over to sm, the time difference between f(x) and Red Velvet's debut is also 5 years. f(x) debuted a mere two years after snsd but due to snsd's success the two competed and sm decided to back the one making more money at that point in time. Thus causing many to believe sm not caring for f(x). Two years just isn't quite enough time to establish yourself absolutely in this ever growing, changing and competitive industry. Imagine if JYP debuted a hip hop dance oriented or general boy group January next year? Got7 has been out close to two years but no doubt it would be a flawed business idea due to the sudden inner competition going on within the company. Expect JYP's Twice's sister group at least three years after their debut in my opinion.

evil4life 3,270
idk on one hand debuting a few months after the show ended would help give the girls high sale numbers on the other hand right now just doesnt seem like a good time considering the music charts are FAR from quiet at the moment

I feel JYP will debut the 2nd girl group once he feels Twice is established and the two won't compete but instead be able to support each other. At least that would be the smart idea I think. I think or at least I hope JYP knows he has someone special in Somi. I really feel she'll win over many hearts once she debuts.

Actually Twice [6mix] were supposed to debut in 2013 lol.. october 2013 ... but they were pushed back because a member was injured.. and then in early 2014 Cecilia left and got pushed back to the summer with Sana as a replacement.. then 6MIx got scrapped after Lena left and SIXTEEN happened lol so it would've been 3 years between Miss A and 6Mix.. and also JYP talked about SIXTEEN season 2 which will air next year.. so they could definitely debut in 2017.. 2018 at the latest

I know the rest of the story though. Yeah, Twice/6mix was supposed to debut earlier but I think my point still stands. The three year minimum gap is kinda needed to deter possible competition and hindering of both group's growth. The tweet said JYP was discussing it with mnet staff but after that there was no talk so sixteen season 2 really is up in the air for now. I do however think JYP will make a second season though, just a question when really since the first season was such a success.
