Why you should listen: There’s a strong chance your workout mix is severely lacking in hip-hop infused K-Pop. Thankfully, the five-member Korean boy band BIGBANG is here to right that wrong. Oh, and they can get heartfelt too, on tracks like

Who they are: Chinese-South Korean boy band.

Why you should listen: EXO is kind of confusing on paper. Technically, the group is made of two subgroups – EXO-K and EXO-M — that sing in Korean and Mandarin. The group has nine members — in classic boy-band fashion, three have left in the past few months — but what’s undeniable is their music is CATCHY. Remember how much you loved NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys in the ’90s (and still do, admit it)? Well that’s EXO, except they’re from Asia. Thank me later.

20. Girls’ Generation

Who they are: Yup, another K-Pop group!

Why you should listen: You didn’t think that we’d only have male K-Pop groups, right? Girls’ Generation features eight badass female members, and they’re the Korean answer to the Spice Girls-sized void in your heart. The girls’ most recent album, Lion Heart, is just over a month old and is chock full of pregame anthems for when you’re doing vodka shots with your girl squad.

As an international fan, I know for sure that 2NE1 would DOMINATE. Their concept and music style is so similar to Big Bang's, and they would be a huge hit in Europe and the US! Even Rolling Stones recognized them! Where are theyyyyy?!
