I want to lose 20 kg

I don't have time to go for a run or go to the gym cuz I'm kinda busy now and I hate anything that has to do with sports tbh

So I think I would probably choose diet

Any recommendations? In particular, any effective and healthy diet suggestions?

I don't like meat btw

Thanks a lot in advance to anyone who replies  :chu:

Download my fitness pal, put in there your data, how much you want to lose, then it will tell you how much you have to eat a day for lose those pounds. Every time you eat something you have to register what you eat

What's important in a diet is the discipline and the order, download that app! If you're decided it will help you

Healthy eating doesn't always equal diet. I've lost weight by walking and just making better choices with my diet. Prepare your food the night before so it helps with portion control and move as much as you can. You don't have to run, just be a little more active.

Also, water and tea. It does a world of difference.

Less carbs, more fat and protein. Meat is essential for good health, but if you really don't like it then it's your body and you can put what you want in it. I would suggest at least getting eggs and stuff though.

Abs are made in the gym, but they're revealed in the kitchen. Most of your effort must be put into what you eat.

Healthy eating (not diet) is more important than exercise anyway when it comes to losing weight, in my opinion. Ideally, you want to be doing both though. I went from 118 to 100lbs  by eating healthy 5-6 days/wk and having a cheat day during the wkend. I was still health conscious during cheat days though. Eating healthy helped me lose weight. But more importantly, alternating between healthy days and cheat days kept the weight off. It helped "prime" (for lack of a better word) my body for any fluctuation in my eating habits. Before, I could diet and exercise like crazy for a couple of months, lose 7-8 pounds, and have it all come back the moment I ate badly.

It worked for me, but it may not work for everyone. Just try to make healthy eating a part of your lifestyle instead of a goal or task that you have to achieve.

smaller portions. eat slowly until you're not hungry, not until you're completely stuffed.

switch a bit of the rich foods to foods with less energy content like veggies

avoid snacks that are high in energy but will only keep you satisfied for a short while before you crave something else (eg sugary things). think of what you drink too, soda, most energy/sport drinks and juice contains a lot of sugar,

make sure you get enough nutrition like essential oils, vitamins and minerals while keeping a fairly low calory intake. that means that you can't eat too much empty calories like white bread, white rice, pasta, sugar, alcohol, deep fried things, but more of whole grain products, greens, berries and a bit of nuts and seeds. if you don't like meat, make sure you get protein by eating things like beans, lentils, egg, soy products, fish, chicken... (not sure whether fish and chicken are included when you say you don't like meat).

move more, if you don't like running and going to the gym then walk (like get off the bus a few stops early if it's difficult to find time for walks) and do some exercises like push ups and stuff at home, use the stairs instead of elevators/escalators etc, just try to pick the more active alternative whenever you have an option. don't sit down for things you can do standing up (a high table where you can read and write while standing is great if you study a lot)!

don't start a diet you can't see yourself following "forever", don't fall for quick-fixes or crash diets. be nice to your body, let the weighloss take time. it's better to lose 10 kg over a longer period and manage to stay there, than lose 20 quickly and then regain 25 in a few months. don't go on very restricive diets (like no fat, large amounts of saturared fat, only eat a few types of food etc) without doing some research on what it can do to your body first, be critical and look for as scientific/medical information as possible.

i should follow this better myself, not for my weight but for my health, but i'm satisfied with my weight and don't feel sick in any way so it's too easy to forget/cheat...
