Heart and Seoul 1,218 Posted September 25, 2015 Share Posted September 25, 2015 I guess because when they hear their girlfriend/boyfriend speaking admiringly about another guy/girl, there's a level of jealousy because they wish they'd speak like that about them if they don't already. Like if they're all "omg he/she's looking so hot" and you're just left there feeling like "okay, well that's nice and all but I'm the one who's put in all this effort to look good specifically for you and you've not said anything about it" kind of thing. I think it can be based on insecurities as well, especially if the types of people they're commenting on all have similar qualities, and are nothing like you.
