I'm smitten by Kang Min Hyuk thanks to Entertainer drama. I think it's partly because of his I See You OST, which is so good and his vocal fits this song so well. According to his speaking voice, I think his voice sounds melodic and soft to begin with, so he should sing more, seriously. If he takes singing more seriously and train more, who knows maybe he can go to singing route. Though, of course he can't be CN Blue's vocalist and I can see why Yong Hwa is the vocalist instead.

 

I've also listened to his previous OST, Star, and I think his singing gets a lot better in I See You than Star. It's like he's been trained in singing a lot more after Star. I've heard that he's not that into singing much/he didn't want to sing? Why? What a pity.

Too bad he doesn't sing much all this time. My understanding is he either is not really interested in singing or he decided to just focus on drumming only, also maybe because he's not confident about his vocal much. Too bad since it's somehow like he limits himself. After he took singing training lesson for the drama, his singing has improved a lot, even compared to his perf in his fanmeeting, which I think this might be an indication he just started training in singing seriously for the drama. Well I don't really blame him since his main occupation is a drummer, but it's also nice to expand his range.

Now that his singing has gotten a lot better and rediscovered his singing in this drama, I hope he will sing more often :)

usually Yonghwa and Jonghyun the ones singing cnblue songs with Jungshin occasionally rapping for them. Minhyuk probably prefer drumming all this while

Yep but there's also the duet ver with Kang Min Hyuk and band arrangement. The official audio ver hasn't been released but the complete audio ver has been leaked, which you can listen to in the video. The official audio ver of the duet will probably be released later.

It also has been performed in the drama, though in the drama it has been cut a bit.

Yep, I heard that he's very close to his nuna. As far I know he also said several times that he's more comfortable with/prefers older women, one of the reason because of his good relationship with his nuna. I'm even surprised that he's been consistent saying that from the beginning until now, because sometimes some people's preference change along with the time or are just saying that for the sake of fanservice when they're young. So adorable lol I wonder how close he is to his nuna if it's until the point it influences his preference..

So I just finished watching this old talk show with CN Blue (Baek Ji Yeon People Inside talk show). From here I found that Min Hyuk used to really want to be a singer before he auditioned. Then he got scouted by FnC and auditioned by singing as well (singing Kim Dong Wan's Handkerchief). After that though, he decided to switch to instruments (probably because he felt his singing wasn't good enough/he's not confident with it).

Yong Hwa also shared, since YH auditioned at the same time with MH at that time, he also watched Min Hyuk's singing when he auditioned, and added that MH's singing boosted his (YH) confidence since he felt MH's singing at that time was so-so/not that good lol

 

Well seeing MH's previous singing records, I get where MH and YH are coming from though, since I also think back then MH's singing was still pretty rough and unpolished, even before Entertainer era. Now that it has been polished, he actually turns out pretty good and should polish it even more. Maybe now that he's polishing his singing skill for Haneúl role who loves singing and had to sing several songs for that, he will rediscover his passion in singing? I hope he'll be more confident and polish it more. It's not that he's not interested in singing considering his history.

 

Btw it also revealed that Min Hyuk used to accompany his friend to audition at SM Ent lol I'm not clear whether MH actually made it or not, but I can't imagine if MH got into SM since he can't dance....though some of SM idol groups members actually originally couldn't dance as well. Considering MH's hardworking personality, I'm sure he would be able to eventually dance if he really put his mind into it... or he would probably rot in SM's dungeon lol

On June 27, KBS News Time revealed that CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk and Laboum’s Solbin are the new “Music Bank†MCs.

During the interview, Kang Min Hyuk states, “It’s a spot a lot of people want because it feels like a gateway or a step up for stars.â€

Solbin comments, “I will work hard to become a mascot for ‘Music Bank.'â€

On June 24, previous MCs Park Bo Gum and Red Velvet’s Irene hosted their last show after a 14-month run, increasing the anticipation for who would have the honor of hosting the show next.

Kang Min Hyuk is currently proving his skills as an actor on SBS drama, “Entertainer.†Solbin debuted as a part of group Laboum in 2014 and has taken part in various other activities other than singing.

The song choice of the opening perf of MuBank is superb. The song suits Min Hyuk's vocal so well.

At first I was a bit worried about the song choice as it can either support or kill the perf depending on how much it suits the singer's vocal, especially Min Hyuk since he has pretty soft vocal. Perhaps Love is an excellent choice for his vocal, plus his vocal does sound similar with Howl's when he sings it  :)

The perf looks like it's lipsynced, but regardless I really enjoyed it. Min Hyuk looks like he really enjoys himself, too  :smile:  :ahmagah:
