When you listen to any song for the first time you'll automatically categorize it anyway even w/o visuals or background info on the artist. I really prefer the "concept-less concept" where they just wear clothes that don't clash and that's it. It all reeks of not having a true musical identity. Concepts feel so artificial, especially when it is something like a "band concept" or a "hip hop concept". You aren't suddenly a band or suddenly a hip hop group just because you changed your outfits and someone wrote a new song for you.
