For example Suzy has a lot of fans, but you can see they are here for her acting and not for her idol activities, hence why her popularity never benefited Miss A's album sales. So I don't think Suzy has a lot of fans as a Kpop idol. Yoona has a powerful fanbase, but I think Taeyeon is bigger in terms of fans and is more popular with males apparently. I still don't know what to say about IU, she definitely has a lot of Korean fans, but I don't know if she has a well defined fanbase (I mean more than casual fans. I have always seen IU like a generally loved singer, not someone with an hardcore fanbase), someone to enlight me about her fandom. Her international following is small, she never promoted herself outside Korea, so we can't compare it to YoonTae. Krystal is growing, not sure where to rank her. But she is extremely well-loved among the general public and has a growing fanbase. Internationally, Taeyeon and Yoona are >>>>. No one can compare. Krystal is third in popularity after them and her fanbase is still growing. She's known for having a lot of female fans as well. In Korea, it's Taeyeon and IU. They are known for having both male and female fans. Taeyeon still has the biggest fanbase, but IU is second to her. I know fancafes aren't that relevant, but IU has 180,000+ members, second only to SNSD. And if album sales are an indicator of fanbase, then she normally places around fourth for girl groups.
