2.9 Coming to the PS3 & PS4?

Good news Kingdom Hearts fans! Over the weekend there has been some 'leaked' reports

that suggest Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 + Dream Drop Distance will be coming to the

PS4 and PS3 neatly packaged into one game titled: Kingdom Hearts 2.9!

Note: For those who don't know what any of this means, basically the Kingdom Hearts

series is spread across multiple platforms including the PSP, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS etc.

And because of this, many people weren't able to play the smaller 'side' titles. Well they have

since been released in bundles titled Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and Kingdom Hearts 2.5, however the

titles are currently only available on the PS3 and also neither contains Kingdom Hearts: Dream

Drop Distance which was exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS and has been said to be the beginning

of Kingdom Hearts 3 which means that it plays an important role for those who wants to get the

full 'story' of the Kingdom Hearts universe! (Good luck with that, honestly - that shit is a MESS).

The 'leak' was first spotted from a Director / Designer's profile on LinkedIn. The profile

states that he is currently working on a ''Kingdom Hearts 2.9" for the PS3 & PS4 and that is has

been in full development for 10 months now. Check out the profile below:

Now while this isn't concrete evidence of anything of a sort and the news itself should

be taken with a grain of salt. It is nice for Kingdom Hearts fans to see that the remake will be

indeed coming to the PS4 after many statements saying that it's practically impossible with

digital distribution proving difficult with how the PS4 Online store works. So again while

you should only take this profile with a grain of salt, it is nice to see that there may a glimmer of

hope for those who wants to have everything on one console.

Also on the profile, it says that he is working with 'Disney and Pixar' with regards to

Kingdom Hearts 3, which suggests that we may FINALLY see Pixar worlds in Kingdom Hearts,

what with Disney and Pixar finally becoming on entity again after many years. So for those who

wants to see 'Monsters, Inc.', 'Finding Nemo' and other Pixar titles,

then you may finally get your wish!

Notes:

YAS! To be honest, a complete package port / remaster is something that I've wanted

for the PS4 for a very long while now. Besides I don't want to have to plug in my PS3

everytime I want to play the older titles of Kingdom Hearts which is something that I

want to do a lot. I was so happy to see Final Fantasy X coming to the PS4, so I was

holding out hope for something along the lines of this for Kingdom Hearts as well.
