Have you ever felt jealous of K-Pop idols? (Please be honest)

I do, all the time. They have nice body, are good-looking, talented, none of which I have. I feel even worse when I saw idols who are also good at studying. I don't have any hectic schedule but I always find it hard to get good grades.

I also envy them for being admired by many people

Of course I don't want to experience the downsides either. I'm an introvert so I would probably quit idol life like after 1 week. I hate being stared at even on public transportations

What about you?

I am jealous of the money, or that they can travel, or film.. but I am not jealous at their health condition, work times or the hate and crap they get from antis or press. Also be watched H24 from ppl I don't know and judge every step and every hair, isn't my thing eighter..

especially agree on working conditions lol... I wouldn't last one promotion cycle lol

I wish I could at least carry a tune.... I admire performers like Hyorin and Ailee so much and here I am with two left feet and tone deaf lol. It would be so fun to sing whatever I wanted casually...

yes, i already only sleep around 4-5 hrs per day so i think i can handle this part of idol life. it'll also be so cool to have actual fans out there that care about you and people supporting you. as long as the company is not shady (& and forces ppl to do illegal things), i'm generally pretty jealous of them

No. What good is money when you don't even have the time to sleep most times let alone spend it and enjoy it/people stalking you/company putting restrictions on your creative freedom and you're also putting your health at risk and not even money can fix that sometimes. It's too much. There's no good parts of it to me except performing but there's other ways to do that. Also being pretty isn't worth it when you look at the sacrifices.

I used to be somewhat envious, in the sense that most are impossibly beautiful, and well-groomed, and they give out this image of the fun of being in a group "amongst friends." They do a job which is far away from monotone office work or studies. Dancing practice especially seems so cool.

Now, of course, I see the flipside which is working til you drop, literally no sleep, a hardcore competitive environment. And if you're not part of a major group with a big company's finances behind you, that job is even more tough. You train so hard just to try and get attention and relevancy. Even once you hit it big, your freedom of movement is severely curtailed because of sasaengs and being followed everywhere. That must be very dispiriting.

I also don't think they make that much money. Certainly not compared with their US counterparts. The companies take the bulk of the profits.

I'm jealous of idols under SM or YG; they're very popular and get lots of money.

Also, they're very good looking and have great bodies with lots of people loving them.

But then again, they also have tons of people who hate them, too, so I'm not so sure about that part.

And they get to dance and sing on stage, also travel and meet different people from different parts of the world (fanmeetings).
