What would you recommend for senior ball or just prom in general? coward 1,968 Posted September 7, 2015 Share Posted September 7, 2015 a custom made dress....but not everyone has a quasi-professional dictator seamstress for a mother. she "oversaw" the creation of everyone of my formal dresses, that I made myself. and by oversaw, I mean "why did you pick out that thread color, it is only a 95% match!!! I don't care if it's for the underskirt that no one will see, I see it and I don't approve of it!!" but I did look amazing and no one else ever had one of my dresses... PleasureSeeker 621 Posted September 13, 2015 Share Posted September 13, 2015 I couldn't afford my prom dress for Senior Prom. I had to go to Operation Prom Dress for mine. And even then finding one was a pain because: A) I'm 5'2", everything was either floor length or tea length and B) I had to go 3 dress sizes up because of my broad shoulders (I wore a size 16 at the time, had to go up to a 22) I ended up with a black & white dress and black wedge heels.
