Current Japanese Girl Bands

There are differences among some of these bands and the only thing they really have in common is being girls. Akai Koen is definitely my fave out of the list here. I would've added in tricot too but maybe they're a bit too new.

Akai Koen's album is probably one of the most surprising of the year so far:

I feel as if the indie scene as a whole is getting a lot more attention in the past year or so.

Akai Koen, Negoto, Scandal, Silent Siren, and Cyntia showcase the variety and diversity that is found within Japanese music. It's interesting to see that both Silent Siren and Cyntia are amongst the acts listened because they've both been influence and have taken references from Scandal as a group. Silent Siren is closely associated to the lighter material that Scandal has released throughout the latter half of their career while Cyntia is a bit more reminiscent of their older material. Scandal deserves all of the success and praise that they've garnered over the years because they've remained consistent and cohesive throughout their career and have influenced other acts. Negoto and Akai Koen have delivered the strongest material out of the groups listed  but Tricot edges both of them out.

Would've like to have seen acts like Mass of The Fermenting Dregs and Stereopony stay together long enough to benefit from the success and popularity that these acts have been garnering especially Mass of The Fermenting Dregs who influenced both Tricot and Akai Koen. It's refreshing to see that these respective acts are gaining success and popularity outside of their respective audiences. Enjoyed reading the attractiveness of these acts from the perspective of women who listen to them.
