That said, I also don't understand why people make so many accusations about plastic surgery. Too many people use it as an insult when it's about personal choice. Netizens reveal the truth behind IU and her plastic surgery SOURCE: Pann, translation by Koreaboo On Pann, the most used online forum among Koreans, a netizen made a post on the topic of IU and the fact that people are accusing her of undergoing plastic surgery. Even doctors admitted that skin whitening injections only show temporary results and do not lighten one's skin tone permanently. These are pictures from her debut days without make up. She has natural double lids as proven in her childhood pictures, and even though she initially wanted a nose job, plastic surgeons told her her skin was too thin to do it so she ended up walking out. I've been following her since debut and nothing about her appearance has changed except for the fact that she's gotten thinner and that she's older. I think it's wrong to claim either, because no one will ever know. I won't ever say "IU never had plastic surgery" just like I'd never say "IU definitely got something done".
