So in this past week, there has been A LOT of news regarding Uncharted (when will FFXV?).

For starters Naughty Dogs has officially revealed the release date for the muchly anticipated

title, Uncharted 4 which will be hitting stores WORLDWIDE on March 16th, 2016! That's right

Uncharted 4 is slated to hit the stores during the 1st quarter of next year, giving PlayStation

a great start to it's, what has been already described as ''Defining Year''. For those who aren't

familiar with the Uncharted series, you can get into it with the Remaster ''Nathan Drake Edition''

hitting stores next month! Uncharted 4 is said to be the last chapter in the series.

1st Ever Story DLC

 

 

When Naughty Dog announced the March 18, 2016 release date for Uncharted 4:

-A Thief’s End earlier this week, they revealed that the Triple Pack would include

“the first-ever, single-player story add-on for the Uncharted series. â€During the GameStop

Expo yesterday, Naughty Dog Community Strategist Arne Meyer revealed that The Last of Us:

Left Behind was a contributing factor in deciding to add post-launch story content  to Uncharted 4:

 

"It worked really well for us for The Last of Us. We thought we could put together a really

great piece of content as well. Left Behind was a really great  addition. It’s one of those thing

when talking about Uncharted we said, ‘Wouldn’t it be great  to make another story DLC?

Does it fit into the story?’ and that sort of thing. I think we rose to the challenge for

The Last of Us and decided to take another shot at it."

 

Also in the interview, Meyer says, thanks to the the power of the PlayStation 4, Naughty Dog isn’t

limited by tech this time around. So, when development began, the team said, “‘Well, in some ways

this is the Uncharted game that we always sort of wanted to put together because we could revisit

some crazy ideas that we had in the past and we  can start blending a lot of gameplay mechanics

and things in such a way that we  weren’t able to do in the past.'†The Uncharted 4 Triple Pack will

be available to purchase on its own for an unspecified price (likely $20), or you can get it inside

the Digital Deluxe Edition. In addition to the story add-on, it includes †two multiplayer packs

that will unlock new, rare and legendary multiplayer items.â€

Notes:

 

Welp, there it is. That took a LONG time to compile, edit and write, but there it is. Everything you need

to know to catch up regarding Uncharted 4, all prettily packaged into one thread! Kneel before your

king please. (Jokes, or am I?). ANYWAYS, YASSS!!! I am soooo excited for this, I can't fucking wait!

Of course I will be getting the Collector's Edition with the statue, who the eff is here for that 'Special

Edition' that comes with next to nothing. The Steel Book looks gorgeous, although it does say

that the art is not final... so it is subject to change at any given time. Although i would be content with

it being the FINAL art for the cover. It's gorgeous. Regarding the story DLC, I'm not mad. I LOVED the

story DLC that came with The Last Of Us, heck I even loved the physical Story DLC for Infamous!

a small niche of users on this forum that cares about gaming, and so I make the

 

threads for them and for myself, as I want to see what they think regarding the topic

 

and such ~ Gaming is an important part of my life, so even if I get 0 replies, I'll still make them.

But I do enjoy watching walk-throughs on YouTube. Dashiegames is my favorite

I just finished watching his Until Dawn series. And I'm waiting for the last installment of Life Is Strange to be released.

I had to google one part because i thought Triple Pack was referring to the collection of the previous games. Was wondering why the old games were going to get a story dlc added to it. 

 

I love the Uncharted series but why am i supposed to get excited that they are already talking about charging me for story content that's not included in the base game when the game is what, 6 months away?

I can see what you mean, but maybe this ''story DLC'' would've felt out of place

 

being included in the main story... so they 'decided' to make it DLC? Like if Left Behind

 

was included in the main story of The Last Of Us... it wouldn't have made too much sense,

 

it would've felt... too different and redundant. So maybe with this DLC it'll be the same case

 

we might even be able to use a different character besides Drake like Sully or whatever...

 

 

 

Then again, they could've easily added it as post-game content... or even 100% completion

 

bonus or whatever... but what is a modern game if not extra DLC and such hidden by a pay wall?

 

But we'll see. I'm sure the DLC will be included in the ''Definitive Edition'' or whatever xD
