[AKP] After-school teacher sentenced to jail time for forcibly molesting young girl

The Seoul Central District Court announced today that they have sentenced a man identified as Mr. Kim, who was indicted under suspicions of sexual molestation of minors, to three years in prison.

Kim, who worked as an after-school tutor, fed an 11-year-old girl named 'A' a sleeping pill mixed inside an oreo cookie. After eating the cookie, the girl complained of dizziness, vomiting, migraine, and passed out not too long after. Kim took this chance to forcefully molest 'A' in the men's changing room of a gymnasium. 

 

The court ruled, "[Kim's] offense is a grave one considering the crime's substance and method and the relationship between the defendant and plaintiff. Kim admitted his fault and repented and has reached an agreement with the victim. Exceeding the monetary fine, we considered the fact that [Kim] has no history of criminal offenses."
