Article: Do we have to know why Rainbow isn't getting popular?

1. [+4,552, -273] I know this is a bit unrelated but I don't think there's any other solo female singer who's struggling as hard as NS Yoonji is... especially for someone with a great body and good singing talents ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

2. [+3,371, -120] When they came out with 'A', their company had to either come out with a decent follow-up song or put them in a lot more variety shows but they had none of them. It's weird how the group has individually popular members but not a particular member to push in terms of charms.

3. [+3,012, -213] Honestly, the members are all okay but they don't get popular because their songs are bad... the end.

4. [+2,684, -87] Their agency is the biggest problem

5. [+1,704, -217] If Rainbow had made 'Tell Me Tell Me' and 'Sunshine' back to back hits in 2013, they could've become a group bigger than even SISTAR by now... they had the song and concept to win #1 but they didn't ã… ã…  and DSP had a period where all they cared about was KARA... Rainbow has the talents, dance, concepts, and visuals and bodies that are comparably better than other girl groups but those two songs in 2013 never hit #1 and they lost their chance to rise to the top..

6. [+455, -87] Speaking on just the members, they look better than A Pink

7. [+317, -12] 'Mach' and 'To Me' were really popular but DSP only cared about KARA then and Rainbow was used to perform at small events without any new albums.

8. [+304, -13] They pushed Kim Jaekyung too much in the beginning. She doesn't have any variety talents so they should've gone with Woori, Noeul, or Hyunyoung ã…

9. [+273, -6] Their agency is to blame. Their 'Black Swan' promotions were finished after just one broadcast and not another word about it again... their concept was probably their best but their song was their absolute worst. We're not asking for another 'A' level hit, just another song like 'Tell Me Tell Me', 'Sunshine', or 'Mach' would've sufficed.

10. [+270, -24] I remember Jisook subbed for Sunny on FM date and she has a knack for speaking... she's good at everything, I really don't get why Rainbow isn't more at the top.

Agree with this. They could've happened if their success post-A had been managed properly.

I like Rainbow, they're a great group. They had everything they needed for success, but somehow it didn't work out for them due to many factors.

I hope DSP won't disband them, despite many rumors. They should at least have another comeback.

It's really not that big of a mystery if you ask me.

Rainbow did decent enough before DSP wanted to have Kara 2.0 in japan. When it failed they gave Rainbow a cute concept for their Korean comeback and that's why they aren't popular. Had they continued where they left off with the cool and confident concepts i think things may have been different considering this was before groups like girls day and AOA made their presence known.

Rainbow, DSP hasn't done them that many favors I guess but still keeps them around so there's that. Could be worst, Jewelry got disbanded and ended all together.

Promoting multiple girl groups in the same company is doable. I don't follow Rainbow, I know some members through their variety appearances, but they've had some songs that I like and enjoy. and def in my playlist.

Taking that long hiatus between Sweet Dream and Tell Me Tell Me was probably a mistake, they could have used the momentum from To Me to launch them up into a higher level of popularity, but by the time they returned in 2013 they were an afterthought. Real pity because it's not like they never stood a chance--they did, but DSP missed the opportunity.
