SilverLinings 22 Posted September 2, 2015 Share Posted September 2, 2015 So I was browsing through some fashion and make up trends in google and I found some pretty interesting difference in the use of makeup between Japan and Korea at the moment. It's pretty cool. So we all know Korea likes them brows straight and they really focus on bright lipsticks. Japan focus more on pastel and warm colours. They also seem to use blush more than Korea. Personally, while I like red lipstick, I only use them for certain occasions so I kinda like Japan's take on warm pastel colours for makeup. And ofc, strobing is the biggest trend in my country right now. All strobing is is highlight without contour tho so idgi. Japan uses too much blush, imo. cowgirlbebop 3,908 Posted September 2, 2015 Share Posted September 2, 2015 If I had to pick one thing from each that I like, I'd pick the bright lip for Korea and the natural/pastel palate for Japan. But tbh, Im not really a fan of either of these looks. I have no love for straight brows or that reverse ombre lip thing, and the Japanese pics look a bit... underdone to me. Strobing is big here, although I dont do it. I prefer to just do a traditional contour or, if Im going for a bolder look, a reverse contour. Super dark lips are supposed to be back for fall, and I personally am sill riding this nude lip train full force.
