more than the numbers, want is such a good follow up song to move. i guess he’s the snake that tempted eve? i was afraid that the making mv would have spoiled the song too much but it’s really different w his voice and performance. i can’t stop laughing at his backward body wave before the bridge.

It’s my first time in this thread. Taemin truly is the King Of K Pop! â¤ï¸ Want is a masterpiece along with the visually stunning music video! I can’t get enough of it! I started following him through Sunmi when they did their duets on the MAMA’s in 2017. Move has to be one of the best K Pop songs ever imo. This is my first official comeback with Taemin! His showcase was so good too! I would love to see him live oneday!

for a hot second it seemed like the public was going to make it up to him in the charts :/ but it’s a consolation that his album sales have increased from move’s. he already outsold move’s sixth day sales

i really like the lyrics of his songs, especially monologue. add that to sad music to play on the piano segment of his future world tour.

shadow’s like final dragon in drama but without the electronic part so tons better. i know that he’ll probably perform artistic groove in shows but i’m Crossing my fingers for shadow too

Promos haven’t really started yet so there’s still hope but tbh it charted its highest ever since chart reform so I’m more than pleased

That music bank outfit would have been much better without that scarf. it’s nice to see him settling into the choreography. His sketchbook outfit is perfect for showing off his dance lines. I need performances in the red and black and gold outfits soon.

 

 

yeah girls are killing it on the charts and that’s cool. I’m just wondering what it would take for the public to like him (and SHINee including other solos) in general because their charting has been pretty much similar for releases after view (with the exception of jonghyun). it’s not like they’re starving artists, I know, but they deserve more.

 

i don't think the public 'dislikes' them i just think they are kind of 'whatever' about idols in general. i mean top ten-20 is dominated by either female soloists, ggs, rappers, or groups with a huge fanbase and thats generally it. i mean no offence but that itzy song charting high when its actually garbage is also telling of taste. lmao but either way i'm not gonna base much on charting on melon. taemins trajectory always goes like this. he'll be hailed as the amazing artist he is like a month later, and then go on to win awards at the end of the year. i think want is his best title yet and i think there's only more to come ^^

lol i saw that too about the new group and i’ll Reserve my judgements about them. yeah I’m definitely aware that the public is biased to certain genres and groups (even labels). and popularity isn’t always =quality but it might make them feel more appreciated to chart well too.

do they want to chart well? of course but then again at the end of the day, taemins a 11-12 year idol, he's been thru ups and downs an everything in between so i hope he's happy that his numbers keep going up and up. thats really the best case scenario. if he was getting less views, less downloads, less albums sales then maybe i would worry. but he currently has the exact opposite as of now. we are hours away from breaking press it's first week sales

I’m going to miss his ending stage antics. how did he outdo the red outfit w his inkigayo suit. the styling for this era is great. his makeup was the best last night too. I wish he did an updo like n the mv once or hairs his hair slicked back like the dancers.

5 more days before taemin performs shadow (and hopefully heart stop and final dragon; i’m not even expecting for until today and already anymore—he doesn’t even remember they’re part of his discography)

i dont expect any of the songs u mentioned except shadow lmao. but that song slaps so ill take it. heart stop/final dragon/until today we will never see

I need him to have live band for the whole concert. it would be great if he also sings Korean versions of into the rhythm and mars or remixes of his title tracks idk. also anything like stone heart’s choreography pls (i’m willing these into existence)

i thought that some of the negativity about the title was overblown. parts of the article were a stretch.

a summer tour would be perfect for my schedule lol.

a happy dance anthem would be nice (koharu might need that change too, if taem continues to work w her)

Yeah that’s true I wonder how long he will continue to work with Koharu. I guess it depends on her range and adaptability. The thing with move and want is that move was simple so a lot of people could cover it but want is very scattered and disjointed there’s no real steady stream of moves it’s just sort of small random sections amongst freestyle Taemin snake like movement lol which is cool in an artistic sense but less mainstream as far as dance covers go so I feel like the ideal is to merge the two together somehow if possible lol

all of this. i mean her choreography aligns w taem’s vision, but I felt like she could have made something distinct and catchier with the “hot hot†part. the choreo is very taemin, at least his noodly moves lol. and the part after the bridge was fantastic, also the first chorus. but it’s not as memorable as move. i saw another choreography though and koharu’s still a level above; her choreography really is stylish. (when I saw the dance on the showcase I was wondering if he had asked for a friend discount because she only choreographed for like 60% if the song—I kid, but I think this must be koharu’s way to start making taem do his own choreography/dance based on his feeling atm)

lol friend discount indeed. i def agree she wants him to 'feel' the music and dance his own moves. i felt she was trying to bring that out alot with some bits in sayohito an with move. taemin did a good job with artistic groove.

this is so cute and makes a nice connection to tsol and some of key’s solo imagery. also he’s performing a new song? and he has a performance next week at a fashion show??? is his new album coming so soon. i already feel overwhelmed
