i hated the edm at first but then it grew on me god knows how since i'm not too big on edm in general. i imagine dramatic walking in the park like when i do "interpretative dances" at home but surrounded by bushes 

i agree, it is a bit disjointed. when i think of ace as a whole i think of...mess haha but the songs by themselves are actually really nice in my opinion. apart from wicked. can't stand it. pretty boy sucks, i admit it's a crappy song, but i still love it

He should've tbh. With this mini alone, he could've. His concept, J-mini album songs, his looks, cuteness, and other aspects are all anime af.

If his management was smarter, imo they should make him an anime-ish concept solo act who sings for anime osts with fantasy-like PV (like SH PV) and visuals and contract with idk maybe Animax or Toonami and perform at international anime convention/concert or cosplay event with fantasy ethereal-like dancing ~look at my sig~ (to get his name out internationally) or strike a deal with a videogame company (Like Utada who made a name in international scene through Kingdom Hearts) or something. That way he prob has a chance to stand out and rise as a solo act with his own trademark and I believe it would fit him so well. Better than promoting yourself as a kpop act in which the public isn't into. However, I understand that its not easy to strike a deal with an anime series much less an anime company and its especially hard for someone like him who is still a newbie, and just debuted. It can be expensive, maybe or depends if he and his agency agree to this direction or not (isn't Taemin a big otaku himself?) or whether they have that kind of resources and connections. But yeah, if I were a staff at UMJ or SMJapan who manages his promotion and marketing and have plenty of resources and money to invest, I'd do this.

I heard umj wants to push Taemin very hard. They are just having some problems with the ceo of sm Japan. Also apparently osts have to be requested but I can't see why shinee and or Taemin haven't done one when lesser known acts have them. Specially since several mangakas are shinee fans.

But hey, if its true, I wouldn't even be surprised. Its SM we're talking about here. Always with unexplainable issues and things we want will never pull through. Sigh.

 

Yeah, not only Io Sakisaka and other mangakas but also, animation director Makoto Shinkai seem fond of SHINee and knows Taemin and Jonghyun.

 

i wouldn't take it as hard fact, but its from the shinee line chat. *prolly weibo or baidu since that seems to be the leakiest place* they let us know about different group comebacks/japanese promo/concepts ect.

sometimes i read fan accounts and while i am appreciative, i am also wishful that there would be a video evidence. but i am glad there is no video of taem getting carried by onew because i might just combust.  

 

even the back stage clip of the crew saying "taemin-kun! his leg!" and this rushed frenzy of anxiousness was too much   there is a picture that i can not find of onew touching taemin's leg as if to help him down from the stage.
