Do you care about singers true personality?

When you hear a song you care about the personality of the singer?

Sometimes I think Korea and Japan are the only countries where they care about artist private life.

There's was this famous singer in my country, he was consuming illegal drugs with a girl and she suddenly died, he was scared so he buried her in the fields but the police found her. he was sentenced to 10 years in jail ( because he tried to hide her). he was famous before he went to jail but he got even more famous when he finished his sentence, his songs were so good, no one cared about him being a drug addict. till the date his songs are still being played in the radio. This couldn't be possible in Korea...

Is your country as open minded as mine or as judgmental as Korea? And do you care about what the singer do in his:her private life?

I think when someone comes out with a really good song that just makes you listen to them, their song will be hit regardless of their bad personality/scandal. Even in Korea....the people involved in scandal are still going on despite getting on hate.

Actually I would rather not know all of someone's true personality if I really enjoy their music.

Life is challenging enough, I would rather enjoy their music without their personal issues/failings

ruining or interfering with my perception of them.

Nope. Even though Ariana Grande has a rumored nasty personality, I'll still listen and buy her music regardless. I do not care about all that personality crap because at the end of the day, we will never really know their real personality tbh.

i don't, i'm not going to go to a concert because a singer is a nice person lol.

besides it's not like we actually know singers true personalty 24/7 or something like that, especially with idols, all we see is the personalty their company made them have.

oh OP I found it:

Actor and comedian Jo Hyung Ki who frequents variety shows these days with his image as a funny old man is known as "Killer Jo" because of the crime he committed back in 1991. He killed a woman in her 30s while driving under the influence of alcohol. What makes his case much more serious than it already is, is the fact that he took the dead body and dumped it somewhere else in an attempt to conceal his crime - ironically, he was caught red handed because he fell asleep in the car right beside where he hid the body. He served one year before being released, and his case is one of the landmark cases that law students come across in their studies as a drunk driving murderer being released after one year which remains highly controversial till this day. He began appearing in dramas right after he was released.''

If it's not someone I stan (I don't stan anyone aside from kpop idols) then no I don't really care, I enjoy their musics without caring about them, for example I can still listen and enjoy Chris Brown or R.Kelly's songs even though I despise them as human beings.

And I usually never try to know their real personality unless it's just in front of my face and I can't ignore it.

I enjoy a singer's music and that's it, nothing more.

obviously i'm not gonna stan someone who's a murderer / rapist or just a blatant asshole, ignorant homophobic/sexist/racist comments also make me dislike people

an appealing "stage personality" / seeming like a genuine and kind person is a bonus but i don't care much about performer's actual ~*~true personality~*~, it's not like i'm ever going to meet them and get to know them as a person/friend
