I feel like it's not the idols' faults though.    I like to think of it as a form of fan service. a mildly weird and exceptionally unrealistic form of fan service, but nonetheless.....

 

I think fans just need to wake the fuck up, think reasonably, and realize that they will never date their favorite kpop idol and that oppa doesn't mean it when he says he won't date anyone until he's using a mobile scooter to get around and drinking prune juice on the regular....obviously that's unrealistic.

But only a handful of idols really look serious when they say that their married to their fans lol. Look at EXO saying that their fans are their girlfriends, and then look at those groups that actually put a lot of effort into it. Yet Baekhyun still had so many crazy fans coming after Taeyeon after their relationship was confirmed. The crazy ones are blind, the idols don't activate them by confessing their love for them lmao. They're like that from the start. That is why its inevitable for idols to have those devoted scary fans.

that's how the system work, go complain to the founding fathers of Kpop. 

It was way worst before w/ the first generation of idols. 

Plus it's the fans who need to chill the heck out.

They´re crazy that´s for sure! But I think doing this kind of fanservice doesn´t help... Like Heechul said to his fans: "I´m not your everything, you need to live your life". It was brutal but effective... it slows down the delulus a bit... just a little bit.

These kinds of threads annoy me because like the entire idea of idols is to prey upon the fantasies of teenage girls? And obviously idols whose main demographic has aged with them (dbsk, shinhwa, super junior... etc) do not have to keep up this fantasy because their fans know better and are older.

 

It's not the idols fault, or even the fangirls faults. It's just how things are.
