Jang is allegedly under suspicion of forcing four girl group trainees to smoke marijuana from August to November of last year, telling them, "You need to [smoke marijuana] to become singers."

Interest in Jang faded however as another narcotics case blew up, this time involving a 32-year-old foreign promoter identified as 'A', who is currently being held under custody. According to an investigation by 'Star Today,' 'A' had admitted to some of his charges during the trial held at Seoul Central District Court this past August 27. After further inspection by prosecution, it was revealed that five additional people testified to smoking marijuana. The second trial is to be held this coming September 4.

The recent scandals concerning Mr. Jang forcing the girl group trainees to smoke marijuana, along with the illegal drug scandals of 'A' and E-Sens, have authorities on their toes, ready to sniff out any sign of further trouble regarding illegal drug activities in the entertainment industry.
