Controversial rapper E-Sens released his album 'The Anecdote' for digital download on August 27 (KST). The album will be released via physical album on August 28. According to reports, the album has initiated an unprecedented pre-order record in the hip hop genre with 16,000 copies reserved.

Despite the possibly career breaking headlines that E-Sens had faced due to his multiple uses of marijuana, E-Sens continued to draw in attention and anticipation. Currently, he is the first Korean rapper to release an album while being held in jail.

Pre-orders for 'The Anecdote' began on August 10, instantly breaking record pre-order sales on Korea's largest online hip hop website 'Hiphopplaya'. The explosive amount of pre-orders created such a surge in online traffic that it temporarily caused the server to crash.

The album, consisting of 10 tracks in total, includes the single "Back in Time" released last September along with 9 other tracks. During the past few months, E-Sens has been freely releasing numerous tracks online, but the remaining 9 names from the track list appears to be new and unreleased songs.

Currently, the digital version of E-Sens' 'The Anecdote' is doing well on the music charts within hours since its release. Get your hands on the highly anticipated album here!

He didn't really do anything wrong in my eyes. It's just weed. + He's actually a great rapper so i wish him well. Get dat street cred oppa, at least someone in the krap industry who won't be pretending to be tough or a thug( by koreans' standards) but actually be one. Heol

I hope in 20 years, Korea/koreans stop being so stuck-up and open up a bit.

Imma go listen to his title track now, it's already on youtube :ohpressor:
