So as it turns out, it was TAEYANG´S IDEA TO GO ON SMTM WITH MINO

Recommended Posts

Song Min Ho (Mino) wowed the crowd with his semifinals performance on last week's episode of 'Show Me The Money 4', and his song quickly achieved an all-kill on charts as well, showing its public appeal. However, his win over Black Nut on the show did not come without some criticism, as many asked if he had an unfair advantage by bringing in Taeyang, the vocalist of one of Kpop's hottest male groups.

Some went as far as to point out that the song seemed to be a Taeyang ft. Mino track rather than the other way around. And others also questioned why Mino would bring in a big YG artist for his stage when he had personally remarked that he came on 'SMTM' to shed his YG-image.

But it turns out, it wasn't originally Mino's idea to bring in Taeyang for his performance of "Fear". Rather, it was Taeyang's idea to show his support for his hoobae. An agency rep explained, "Taeyang, even on his free days, likes to spend his time in the training room with the trainees and dance with them or teach them choreography. Because Taeyang had always looked upon Song Min Ho like a younger brother ever since the latter's trainee days, Taeyang wanted to stand on stage with him. So that's how [the performance] had been decided on."

As much as there has been some talk surrounding Taeyang's featuring and whether Mino has the talent to put on a performance without the help of his agency, the upcoming final performance will have no involvement from YG Entertainment. Mino, himself, is said to not want their involvement either to put on a stage as a regular contestant without the backing of a large-scale agency.

Taeyang is so thirsty for that fame, using Mino to get his name out there smh. Not surprised considering how he looks like a sly fox.

Lets be real Taeyang is rolling in $$$ and has a hot ass bae. He has better things to do than go on SMTM for some dude in his company. Taeyang doesn't have the balls to say no to YG like T.O.P/GD (the other two wouldn't really help Mino tbh) b/c he's a classy church boy. This is obviously media-play by YG after Mino got all that flack in the recent article. Everyone and their biases can see through it.

Taeyang was also TEAM A Mentor on WIN. He must really consider him as a younger brother or beloved hoobae to stand on stage with him. All YG stans know that Taeyang and GD litterally live in the studio. They create, compose all the time so I totally picture him coming into the practice room where Mino is busy rapping and be like: "Hey, watchu doing?" and helping him, giving review through the whole process. He´s such a caring Sunbae.

Haters gonna hate ANYWAY so I´m not even bothered anymore. While they busy hating, Fear is still on top of the charts and Mino keep slaying. He´s writing his own story and will come out of this show STRONGER with his head held HIGH!!!

Honestly, I sort of don't buy this story but seriously, the stage already happened so who cares? If Taeyang really wanted to stand on the same stage together, they could have scheduled it for a concert or something. But still, it doesn't appear to me that Mino is getting that much flack for this anyway so????

Why are we still going on about this? It's already happened and nothing's going to change it. Regardless, Taeyang was the perfect person for the collab cause his vocal colour is so ridiculously good. No matter what Mino does, whether it's good or bad, he's gonna get hate for it anyways.
