The SMTM production team will not allow another YG idol to win if they ever want their show to be taken seriously again. So regardless whether Minho made it to the finals based on his own talents or the benefits of YG, it's completely out of either of their hands when he's inevitably eliminated.

Mino barely had help from YG getting to the finals. He's been working hard and impressing everyone. All of his stages haven't blown me away but they have all been solid. Some have been fantastic. Yes he collaborated with Taeyang, but everyone had a feature in that episode (Still not sure if Jimin actually performed and they just cut her out or not)
