to find the mean

add everything together and divide by how many there are

30+ 37+ 32+ 39+ 33+ 34+ 32 =237

237/7 =33.9

i meant that i did them without taking 1000000 years

was too lazy to do all of them hehe, does it make sense though?

What is a mean? We have totally different names in France...

What is a mean? We have totally different names in France...

it means to take an average of the numbers given; there mean, median, and mode which are the three different ways to do it

i think though mean is the most accurate

what are the names you use in France?

Oooooh ok, a mean is "moyenne" and median is "médiane" and mode is "mode" but i can't remember how you calculate the mode...

The mode is just the most repeated number

so if the sequence is 3,5,2,5,7,8,5,9 the mode is 5

hi Im a chemistry flop, please help :rlytearpls:

The relative molecular mass, Mr, of copper(II) sulphate, CuSO4, is 160.
The relative molecular mass, Mr, of water is 18.
What is the percentage by mass of water in copper(II) sulphate crystals, CuSO4.5H2O?

I used webassign last year and i think instead of x 10^8, you use the 'e' notation so it would be 5.0e8

1. Find the total mass of the copper(II) sulphate crystals. So, add 160 and 5*18, since there are 5 water molecules in the compound. -> 250

2. Then find the mass of water in the compound. 5 water molecules = 5*18 = 90

3. Mass of water/total mass of compound *100
